Apparently some others have now confirmed that they bought or saw a keepcase version also. That still doesn't make my earlier scepticism any less valid.

The e-tailers all listed it was in a snapper, the press released SHOWED a snapper, and now it's in stores in a snapper.

I don't understand what is so confusing about this.
hmm, I went to the Best Buy on 86th Street in NYC (the largest market in the US) and "The Name of the Rose" was definitely in a keepcase. So was Red Sonja. Red Sonja was in a keepcase at the FYE in Rockefellar Center as well. I've yet to see these in snappers.

Purchased Red Sonja and Name of the Rose BOTH IN KEEPCASES in Charlotte, NC at Best Buy on first day of release. Sonja is in ACTION and Name of the Rose is in DRAMA. They were NOT with the new releases rack for the week.

Name of the Rose in keepcases at DVD Planet's B&M. But maybe they're all review copies.

Bought my own review copies in keepcases from Deep Discount. I tried to tell them that they should be free, because if they're in keepcases they must be review copies, but they wouldn't bite.

Got my review copy of Red Sonja today in a keepcase.

Bestbuy was all sold out of their review copies of The Name of the Rose, so I'm gonna have to go somewhere else.

Got my two Name of the Rose's from DVDSoon today. Looks like they scammed me and sent me the cheap keepcase review copies.

Hey Jough, can you pick me up one of those Name of the Rose snappers you claim to have seen everywhere? Sounds like they are extremely rare collectors' items. Who knows how much they'll go for in a year or two?

They're not that rare. They seem to be out in both snappers and keepcases, whereas I've only seen Red Sonja in a keepcase.

E-mail me and let me know how many you want.

Odd, no one else has seen a single snapper. I don't believe there's been a single person other than yourself to report one.

You could just, ya know, not read this thread any more if it's getting you all flustered.

Me not reading the thread doesn't change the fact that it has moved from a legitimate thread discussion to one full of people taking pot shots.
