Warner could make an assload of money off me by re-releasing ALL of their titles in keepcases. I have no willpower for that sort of thing... I'll rebuy them all, and then sell the snapper versions on eBay.
I make no excuses... just telling it like it is. I did this for my Image Entertainment titles, and I'll do it for theirs. Snappers suck.

Is that the North By Northwest that's going to be included in the upcoming Hitchcock box set? I was under the impression that it was going to be a new SE. I guess I was mistaken?
Still debating whether I should sell my snapper of NxNW (which I converted to a thinpak) or keep the thinpak and not give up that shelf space for no reason.

Yes, but NxNW will be in a keepcase, and may have the original one-sheet art for a cover, which would be awesome.
I'm getting the box set anyway, so I guess I'll have an extra copy of NxNW and Strangers on a Train to sell.

Wrong about what?
The OP may have gotten a keepcase for Name of the Rose, but it's still in a snapper in retail.
What good is it pointing out something that's different in a review version? That's like the people who post in the bargain forums that they got a disc for FREE because it was their birthday and their wife bought it for them.
Great for you, but how does this help the rest of us?

I'm just confused at why you seem to be so skeptical that the movie comes in a keepcase. Another poster in the Covers/Cases subforum said it's in a keepcase as well.

Yes, Jough. And Saddam Hussein was stockpiling WMDs, too.

It wasn't a review version. Who ever said it was? I'm not a reviewer.
Go to a store and see for yourself. Good grief.

Red Sonja is definitely in a keepcase. I didn't see The Name of the Rose in the store but methinks that it's in a keepcase as well. Can anyone confirm that The Name of the Rose is in a keepcase? If this is confirmed, then maybe just maybe Jough might swallow his pride for once, admit that he's wrong, and apologize.

Best Buy & Circuit City both have this in snappers only. I haven't seen "The Name of the Rose" in a keepcase except for one poster, who posted about it being in a keepcase three weeks before the disc was released.
Apparently some others have now confirmed that they bought or saw a keepcase version also. That still doesn't make my earlier scepticism any less valid.
The e-tailers all listed it was in a snapper, the press released SHOWED a snapper, and now it's in stores in a snapper.
I don't understand what is so confusing about this.

It might be a keepcase - and I do have a keepcase - but who else thinks that The Name of The Rose sleeve design is godawful? An out of focus 'big head' of Sean Connery.
Unusual for Warners, who usually look after such small details; good job the transfer is excellent.

It wasn’t your skepticism that people noticed, it was your condescending attitude.
Someone came in here and posted that they got the films in keepcases. You could have said “Gee, I had been told that they would be in snappers. Where did you get them?”
Instead, you started immediately doubting his credibility and even insulted his posting status. And, when you were shown to be incorrect (it is widely available in a keepcase), you were alternatively silent and then defiant. And you have not apologized for your tone.
You have been rude to a long-time member of this group (who happens to just not post often) and have not apologized at all. That’s what we find so confusing about this.
