Star Wars Trilogy DVD Trailer on Hyperspace
If you are a Hyperspace subscriber, you can now download the Star Wars Trilogy DVD trailer! There is little in the way of "new" information (ie, no confirmation of changed scenes), but it does show the DVD discs theselves and they use the original trilogy poster art for each one! It didn't show the cover art for keepcases, but one would suspect that they will be the same...
It also shows clips from the documentaries with great behind the scenes footage and it shows a few clips from the Episode III doc. One of the clips from the EIII doc shows the Darth Vader costume!
September 21st can't get her fast enough!!!

No, lets pay money to get:
Membership to the Star Wars Fan Club w/ 1 year subscription to Star Wars Insider
Episode III Post Production Notes
Episode III Set Diary
Episode III Web Cam
Making of Episode III Web Documentaries (#7 also posted today!)
KnollVision (an interactive walkthrough of the Episode III sets using Quicktime VR)
The entire Clone Wars Microseries in large format w/ exclusive commentaries
Before The Helmet photos from Episode III
Star Wars Fiction from noted writers
Kessel Mines obscure article fieatures
Photoreceptor images from deep in the Lucasfilm Archives
Exclusive Video (cut scenes from the films, etc.)
Classic Bantha Tracks (the entire collection of the original Fan Club publications)
I won't even go into the discounts on merchandise, special treatment at Lucasfilm events like Celebration III, forums, chats, e-mail address, etc.
If you don't want to pay money for that, then it is your perogative. Lucasfilm isn't holding a gun to your head... I, personally, think it is great and WELL WORTH the money.

Nevermind, did a google search and found it to be $39.95. Guess it is worth it if you love Star Wars.

Yes, it was $19.95 for Hyperspace and $29.95 for a membership to the Fan Club.
Recently, Lucasfilm took over the Fan Club again from Paizo Publishing and merged Hyperspace and the Fan Club. The price is now $39.95 for both. You can't get them separately any more...

Can we get a description of how the trailer goes for those that have Hyperspace? Thanks.
EDIT: You'd think that the DVD release of the most popular sci-fi movie series would be accessible to the general freakin' PUBLIC and not just to the paying members. Boggles the mind sometimes.

Ya know, I came here to let other people know that the DVD trailer was available and not to get into a Lucas / Star Wars Fans bash-fest. If you aren't a big enough fan to pay for Hyperspace, then it really shouldn't matter to you if the trailer was released.
This DVD release is the defining moment in DVD for me and other Star Wars fans. I have personally waited since 1998 for this and am overjoyed to finally have the trailer hailing this monumental release.
If you don't like Lucas or Star Wars, then DON'T BUY IT!

I am a HS member and dont mind. The trailer is for the HS members early and will be available to the public shortly. The HS members just get to see it before others. They are not keeping away from the public. DUH!

It seems that no one can open a new thread around here about Star wars without being virtually sodomized. He's just passing on information that many of us might want to know. Its bad enough to be attacked for your opinons, but this is getting ridiculus.

I've loved SW and Lucas a loooong time (born in 74, loved it almost from the beginning), I'm really starting to see a downward spiral in his whole attitue.
I love SW, but I can't love Lucas, so I'm not buying this. I'll find alternate means of viewing this, if I can be bothered to.

I'm a big Wars fan, I think E1 and E2 are pretty good movies, I dont mind the special editions - and I *STILL* think that Hyperspace is a total scam. No way am I ponying up money for an ad.
The whole thing smells of crappy marketing scheme.

So anyway, description please?
I just have to disagree with the notion that I have to pay for stuff that was FREE for the first 2 prequel movies to prove my "loyalty" as a fan.

For all of you free-loaders out there...
Keep in mind that Hyperspace members get things like this EARLY and not EXCLUSIVELY. Don't be surprised if this trailer is released to the "unwashed masses" on Monday. No, I don't have any insider info, but this is the trend on Hyperspace with things like trailers and images of DVD box art, etc. Heck, even the Episode III Webdocs become available on starwars.com 3 months after they are released to us...
As a side note, you should all visit starwars.com now and see the 4th free webdoc entitled "Creating General Grievous". Pretty awesome stuff...

If/when you go to Celebration III in Indy next year, are you going to whine and complain when the Hyperspace/Fan Club members get into the event an hour early and get first dibs on the exclusive mini busts and/or figures?
