Cop Land CE

I saw alot of people dissing this movie on some sites..

I think its a very underrated movie, I actually really think of it as one of the best drama movies out there..maybe its just one of my guilty pleasure kinda one..just watching the formidable cast is amazing , Deniro, Keital, Stallone, Liotta, and the terminator guy...

I put it as a Glen Gary Glen Ross underated movie....

How many others bought this DVD today..and what do you think of the movie...

Anyone know how this director's cut differs from the theatrical release? Sounds sorta promising...

I bought it at Best Buy today, even though once I was in the car I realized I got charged $16.99 for it, even though it was suppose to be $15.99. Oh well, I know it was $14.44 at Target, but the extra time to go over there wasn't worth it to me.

I've never seen it, but it looks like a packed cast and an interesting story, so I'm looking forward to it.

The director's cut has some longer/alternate versions of scenes and snippets of new footage here and there (director James Mangold points them out in the commentary). Basically, the director's cut is even more of an overt western than the version released theatrically.

This movie has gotten better with age. De Niro's "Go to lunch" scene is priceless (and reminded me a lot of Kevin Spacey in Glengarry Glen Ross).

I agree, this has to be one of the most underrated movies ever. Great performances by every one in it.

Also forgot to mention: If you haven't seen the movie in a while, and you're a fan of The Sopranos, you're going to be surprised by just how many cast members of the show have supporting roles in the movie.

It is great. It took out the ending scene but other than that, I did not notice anything different or added on. Enhanced widescreen is all that matters to me on this one.

Was the original release non-anamorphic?

Yes it was which is why I sold mine. I will buy this when it hits the $9.00 shipped price at DDD. Good movie but too much ordered for the time being.

The new Cop Land is in a keepcase. And from the pictures I've seen of the new Trainspotting it looks like it will come in a keep case as well.

I picked it up yesterday and watched it when I got home.

Excellent movie. Great performances by all and by FAR Stallone's best performance.

The cast is outstanding, maybe one of the best in movie history.

You had your chance, Freddy, and you blew it!

Great movie. I haven't picked it up yet, but will. One of my two most underrated movies of the 1990s (the other is Carlito's Way).

Are you on crack??????????? I'm sorry, but that is just one of the funniest comments I've heard in a long time. Take a look at the cast again!

This is such a GREAT film. And it does have one of the best casts ever. I also agree it's Stallone's best performance. And let's face it, he doesn't have but a handful I think this movie was robbed at Oscar time. There were many performances worthy of a nomination. Even a win. And Artman, the A/V were much better than the previous version. Especially the video. So clean and clear in most shots. I'm very pleased with this release.

DeNiro, Keitel, Liotta, Stallone (who actually can act when he's got a decent script), Robert Patrick, John Spencer, and Michael Rappaport? It's probably not the best cast ever assembled, but it's definitely a top-tier cast
