does anyone have a copy of both the cut and uncut version? (non superbit for the uncut). I see from widescreen magazine, the the cut (us version) has a much higher rating in the audio dept. than the uncut international version. Big difference in audio quality?

pardon my ignorance but i still can't tell from this thread - is the superbit version going to be corrected or has it already been addressed?

oleus: if you are reffering to Leon audio it has been addressed.

There are three versions:

A first release with bad rear tracks
A second release with corrected tracks
A third release called superbit with corrected tracks.

I was under the impression that the 3rd release was the Superbit with an error in the DTS track.

If there is another (4th) release, a Superbit that has been corrected, how do we tell it from the original Superbit with the error?

CORRECTION

A first release with bad rear tracks
A second release with corrected tracks
A third release called superbit with bad rear tracks.

There is no fixed Superbit.

So basically the R1 version you'all want is the second release.

that's ridiculous that the superbit isn't being fixed. what's the rationale behind that? i remember they fixed the second release pretty fast, didn't they?

what about the dolby digital track on the superbit?

I wanted to upgrade to the superbit until I read about the error in the dts. I guess I will stick to the corrected DD version now.

hmm..well i'll probably still upgrade to the Superbit, assuming the dolby digital track isn't screwed up.

They're both screwed up. It's the same master used for the DTS and DD 5.1.

Is this correct?

1st try
DPL - Good
DD - Bad
Isolated - Good

2nd try
DPL - Good
DD - Good
Isolated - Good

Superbit
dts - Bad
DD - Bad

What are they (CTHE) thinking?

Yes...that's correct.

They're thinking but they're not using the right masters. That's the problem. they used the same master for the original Leon and the superbit. They probably screwed up and forgot they had to remaster the original version. Guess they don't have geeks like us working there.

it's just crazy that they're not working to fix the Superbit, while the problems on the first issue of LEON were addressed immediately.

Less people bought the superbit. Once the original reviews came out and it was revealed that the old master was used, no one bought it. Thus, no one to complain.
