I'm telling you, e-mail some scary stuff to the seller. tell him you will report him, turn him in if he does not give you back your cash and all that stuff.

By all account it's not something that is so far fetched. You have a new member status with this month as your registration. You create a thread for an ebay auction that has two (O) members on a closed auction that advertise if they want to buy a set they can e-mail them.

the link is killed and then you for some reason post his e-mail address? Even a van full of a talking dog and some troublesome kids would suspect something is fishy in this thread.

Now if you are generally being ripped off the advice has been given. report it to paypal. ebay clearly took it off the market and that is grounds that you shouldn't have to pay. if you filed any reports with paypal then you should be in the good anyhow.

You filed a report. Good job. Does that mean the steps for paypal to get you your cash are in the works? Ebay auction was tossed out/canned so by all acount you aren't responsible for it.

If you went outside of eBay to complete the transaction, that's probably going to make getting your money back a little more difficult. I don't know whether to feel sorry for you or give you a slap, because this is just stupid. Common sense, please! I agree with another poster that stated something along the lines of "It's too bad you came to us AFTER the fact, now we can't help you make a decision."

I sincerely hope you resolve the issue, and make an effort to watch out for bootlegs/scams in the future. The sad truth is that eBay is a bootlegger's haven. You must always remember that, and be sure to cross-check versions with reputable sites (UPC if available, but generally covers will tell it all).

Whats funny is there appear to be a bunch of idiots buying all 180 episodes on 23 dvds. Do they know they are home made bootlegs?

One auction got 21 bids and went for nearly $200.
