I never caught the flick since I heard both good and bad things about it. This sounds like a very nice release, so I'll be anxiously waiting to hear what people say about the DC.

Just got this dvd today, wow.... surprisingly good movie. This was my first experience with Infinifilm, does anyone else find it tedious, and kind of annoying. I mean its kind of cool, but I guess I prefer standard boring extras: commentary, and other extras via menus.

i like all of the stuff on the dvd but i don't really like the way they set up the menus.

I loved the movie, it was my first time seeing it when I bought the DVD. I hate how it's a double sided disc though..... ah well. I could also care less about the Infinifilm, but the sound in the movie is great and the picture quality is great and it's a damn good movie at that.

This is the ending I watched on the director's cut. Is it the same in the theatrical cut? If not, can someone let me know how the theatrical cut ends?

I think infinifilm is annoying too, and so far it seems like all of the little things to click on are just short clips from the other extras on the disc. There's really nothing extra you get from watching the infifilm, so why even bother with it?

Also, the fact track on this disc was completely worthless.

The original theatrical ending is:

Spoiler:
The home movie Evan watches on the wall of his doctor's office is of a kid's birthday party -- probably his birthday and probably about 8 years old -- Evan's mother introduces him to Kayleigh and he leans over and whispers in her ear that he hates her and to never talk to him again or he will kill her and her whole family. She runs away to her mother and all of the scenes shown after the DC ending run showing that the kid's lives have been corrected; she goes to live with her mother and isn't molested; Lenny, shown at a birthday party is well liked and not being picked on; Tommy is valedictorian of his class etc. The last scene after this shows Evan coming out of a building in New York and walking on a crowded street talking on a cell phone. We see Kayleigh in the crowd walking by in the opposite direction and he sees her but doesn't stop or talk to her. She pauses for a moment and seems to recall seeing someone she might know, but as she turns around, Evan has continued walking and she then turns back and conitnues walking and the movie ends.

I rented it from Netflix last night. I couldn't watch the theatrical cut because of the Netflix label that's on one side of the disk. I was forced to watch the director's cut. Anyway I was surprised how much I liked it. It was a depressing movie.

Like zak52 stated, if you got it from Netflix, there is no option to watch the theatrical cut since there is a label over that side. I was wondering what the original ending was as well.

Yeah, I figured he'd gotten it from Netflix as well. Just playing around. Kinda silly that Netflix puts a label on a two-sided disc, especially for those who never saw this in theatres. I may be one of the only people who prefers the original ending, and I watched the director's cut first, then flipped it to check out the theatrical ending. For me, sometimes the director's cut style of ending works. Sometimes it doesn't. It didn't, IMO.

Call me crazy.

The one I got from Netflix today is single sided. It's got both endings on there. Infinifilm is definitely weird though. I wouldn't have even realized the

ending wasn't the theatrical one.

I didn't realize that the baby ending was not the theatrical one. It makes sense to me now how people who only saw the theatrical version didn't think the movie is very good. The director and writer basically slammed the theatrical ending in their commentary and I can't agree with them more. The other alternate ending is even worse.

Both endings or both versions. It gave me the option to choose either the theatrical or director's cut. When I chose the theatrical it told me to flip the disk over, which of course I couldn't because of the Netflix label.

I ended up picking the disk up anyway yesterday. I watched to theatrical cut of the flim and I have to agree that I like the director's cut ending much more.
