Ah yes, Aint It Cool News - the paragon of accurate reporting on the internet. Well, that settles that - it MUST be true.

Please.

the vader-head box art looks like a copout job of joinging a mirrored half of the mask in the middle rather than getting an actual perspective shot

I know... but my point was that we really don't understand yet how this whole "ghost thing" works. Qui-Gon didn't become a ghost. None of the Jedi at the end of Episode II became ghosts. And the novelization of Episode II (presumably approved by Lucas) makes it clear that Yoda wasn't even aware that such a ghosting was possible.

Episode III is supposed to make this clear... and fully explain Ben's line in ANH about "If you strike me down..." I'm sure that all of this will tie into Anakin's Ep. II line about finding a way to stop death. Anakin may even be the one to discover how to do this, and it is through this that he will bring 'balance' to the Force. Who knows?

Until then, it's all conjecture. So we really can't say that this makes no sense because of his age as a ghost. We don't know how/why Jedi become ghosts. Lucas may be writing Episode III in such a way that this (possible) new ending to Episode VI makes perfect sense.

Is the difference between the "Imperial" and "Final Conflict" Widescreen v. FS respectively?
Also, how come this set could not be presented in DTS???

If I remember correctly, Lucas owns (or owns part of) Dolby THX, thus DTS is the competition's sound format.

Well, they were all old before, and if he changes it now it will prove he has his head up his ass and has just always been making this shit up as he goes.

He should make the prequel stories tie into the OT, not have to change the OT to make the story work.

The WS is in the Silver box and the FS is in the bronze.

Those other, coughnicercough, boxarts were only concept art.

Well, I think that is pretty clear in general, just by watching Episode I + II. (And reading the Annotated Screenplays book, it seems to be the case for ESB and RotJ as well. He had the general arc/theme but absolutely no specifics.)
