Just received my gift set from Amazon and it was cracked in three different places. To top it off I saw the UPS driver literally toss the package over my gate. I don't know if that was the cause of the cracks but it sure doesn't help.

I say almost impossible.. It comes off with much force... the weird thing is, i tried putting other dvds in the hub, and it goes in and comes out smoothly... how odd...

T2, in both one and two disc editions, were available on the day of the original release. Both versions had the metal slip sleeve. It was supposed to be a DVD-18 only release but, as said above, they couldn't get enough replicated fast enough for the release date, so double disc sets were made as well. As I recall, there was wording on the back of the case that revealed whether you were holding a single or double disc version (that's how I made sure I got the two disc one!)

I got the one disc flipper in digipak at Target, but I looked all over town (Best Buy, Circuit City, Wal-Mart, Suncoast) to see if anyone had the two-disc set. No one did. Aside for the DVD-18, I found that digipak to be quite nice and classy. I passed on the gift set because of all the stories I'd heard about the case cracking (even if it was bought in person).

For whoever posted you wouldn't find Schindler's List any cheaper than 17.89, Wal-Mart in Tulsa, Oklahoma had it for $15.84, although I had already gotten mine at Target for $16.99 and Best Buy was selling it for $17.99

Gift Box Insert
They may be more along the lines of covers/inserts, but I just picked up the gift set and saw there was a place for the insert, but nothing there. I then realized there was no bottom to hold the insert in and that it might have fallen out. Is the insert everyone is talking about the one where it asks you to make a contribution to Spielberg's charity? Or should there be another insert I did not get?
Thanks,
Arkru
