it's not the best movie, but for the right price I'd buy it. Wasn't so bad.

If anyone has the Double Digipack that was released back in October ´03, would someone please confirm if the Easter Eggs has been made available on the menu?

I believe I read that somewhere but I´m not sure. Thanks.

Yeah but does it have an insert? Sorry, couldn't resist. If they're gonna release yet another version, I hope they offer better transfer and DTS.

Heck the list doesn't even include the pan and scan versions out there.
I don't see a problem with this practice. They did the special edition release first, and then they came out with a stripped down version for the wal-mart set. That's perfectly reasonable. This is a movie with mainstream appeal, and the special edition price tag was limiting the audience.

The other "releases," including this one, are just cosmetic upgrades, mostly to the packaging.

I wonder if this release will be as "Limited" as Saving Private Ryan

I'll buy it when it hits the $5 bargain bin at Walmart or K-Mart.

Fry's had this on ad for $9.99 so I PM’ed at CircuitCity. They rang it at $9.69 plus tax, so subtracting the $6.50 movie cash, I figured I paid $4 for the DVD.

The problem is I can’t find the Sneak Peek for The Day After Tomorrow. Has anyone found it?

If your main selling point (other than the free movie cash) is a sneak peak at an upcoming movie, I would think you'd want to make that readily available to the people purchasing the disc. I have my 5-Star Edition and that's fine with me. There really is no need for this nonsense. When I was stocking the shelves with it (we got a ton of these), I commented, "And the award for most pointless DVD re-release goes to..." I think we've sold like 3 since Tuesday. Maybe people aren't as dumb as the aliens thought.

Dunno, if you actually wanted ID4 you would have bought the 'deluxe' 2-disc 5-Star Collection edition when it first came out. This stupid 'Limited Edition' is just another dumb rerelease to cash in on the next flick, in much the same way the Men In Black Deluxe Edition just happened to come out a week before the awful sequel Men In Black II.

Though, if we're lucky, that means there will be another release of 'Pitch Black' to coincide with the upcoming 'The Chronicles of Riddick'. I missed 'Pitch Black' the first time around so I'm going to snag it when it's rereleased.
