I just watched it.

It actually looks pretty good considering. Not much grain, a lot more crisp than my worn vhs.

My biggest complaint, other than that it's not in it's OAR, is the sound. It's a soundtrack & dialogue heavy film. Sounds kinda tinny. Would have benefited from a new remix. Oh well.

Hey, it has full boobage intact.

It's worth the purchase to me now since It's one of, if not, THE most watched video I own. I can quote the film line for line, I know most of the in-joke references, have been following the actors careers since. I have a wall in my apartment devoted to the film. Poster, lobby cards, etc. etc.

I'll wear this one down, too.
Wish it had at least a trailer. Dammit.

PS....

It has an insert

The Sad Truth is those boobs are probably sagging by now!

But seriously, I liked this movie when I was young. So I *might* have bought it, but since its fullscreen I'll pass.

Even though it is not WS, I still went ahead and ordered it from Columbia House since I was placing an order for other stuff anyway, it was only $11.98

I bought it. Fullscreen or not, I love this movie. Dropped $20 at Fry's.

I am going to do the same. I did the same with Can't Buy Me Love as well. Both are movies I would buy in a heartbeat if they were OAR but since they are not, I will just rent them if I am aching to see them.

I don't want to support a bad habit by some studios and make it worse. I am proud to say that I don;t & won't own any movies that are not OAR (unless one snuck in on me).

Agreed. It's a shame really. I don't buy into the whole "the only way to get the message is to NOT buy fullscreen" arguement. Companies will continue to spit out fullscreen of catalog titles just to save money, not buying it because it is in fullscreen only will not pass along that message. The only message sent will be "the movie must not be good", which means they will never release it in any other form anyway.
Yeah! Pontiac Aztek drivers unite!

I wont buy it ever. F'em.
