I'm still thinking some of us may get lucky (in the DVD sense) at Wal-Marts, Targets, etc. on Tuesday.

...Hopefully!

I haven't been able to find it in Central Jersey yet, but I'll be going to every store that sells DVDs on Tuesday afternoon and will report back my findings here. Supposedly a store right up the street had them and sold out and are expecting more in tomorrow, but I doubt that. I'll try anyway.

I also got the Wal-Mart cancellation email. My last online hope is returnwarehouse. Here's hoping.

I need this DVD. But not $204 need.

I just got an email telling me they cancelled my order.

I love that... "indefinite time of period." :P

Isn't that usually 5-7 days? I'll have to ask my wife...
I think even Criswell would have seen that coming. (Or anyone who had dealt with that company over DUEL.)

Well, the bad thing about it is that 2 or 3 people in this thread have received shipping confirmations with media mail tracking numbers, so I'm thinking they *might* have sent a few out. I've got a couple of emails in their inbox that get progressively testy over the status of my order.

Just a thought about bidding off eBay. Is anyone worried about getting a copy instead of an original? The price will go down in the next couple of weeks, but the scammers can get pretty crafty with copies. That's what concerns me.

Hi. Awhile back, somebody mentioned Borders. I called a couple around here (Northern Virginia) and both said they had a couple on order. Nobody said anything about a recall or the discs going on sale on the 3rd, so who knows. One lady told me to call again on Saturday. I'm not betting on anything, but hey, you never know....

Anyway, I suppose there could be some copies around here but I haven't found them. Not that I've tried every store but I called quite a few. FYE has them in the back room but they won't sell them. Suncoast might have them too but I don't know. Both the Coconuts in the area said they had them but they couldn't find them on the shelves or in the back. *sigh* Oh well.

Those are not actual shipping confirmations. Once DVD Legacy receives payment for anything, they automatically mark the item as shipped whether they actually ship it or not. And their tracking numbers are bs. They don't work.

I have never seen this movie, but I like Johnny Depp. So my question is... if I happen to luck out and find Ed Wood in a B&M store would it be a good blind buy? Because just out of curiousity I am going out tomorrow in search of it.

I also got positive feedback from them already. Do you think they'd claim to have shipped it AND left positive feedback for people that have paid for it, if they really didn't ship it? Seems like a risky act for an Ebay seller. I mean imagine how many people bought ED WOODS from them off Ebay and imagine how many NEGATIVE feedbacks that'll add up to if they flake out. I'm still hoping that its true that they have it and shipped it. Time will tell.

Take one look at DVDLegacy's feedback and you will see what kind of company you are dealing with. I ordered from them hoping they would screw up and ship it out because they screw up ALOT.

Emmmm..... YEP! This is EXACTLY what happened when I won an auction for DUEL last year. The same BS confirmation. Left me positive feedback. Everything you're describing.

I never got the DUEL DVD. My credit card was refunded, eventually (and after a phone call). The only bright spot was that I was able to leave negative feedback for them with no fear of retaliation.

Yes, they will receive a lot of negative feedback over this latest incident, but they don't seem to care.

No one who ordered from DVD Legacy or their other company (something toys) will receive the ED WOOD DVD. Sorry.
