Has anyone who bought from returnwarehouse through half.com had their order confirmed?

I'm concerned that they may decide not to go through with the deal in order to sell them at (much) higher prices on eBay.

I put in an order through dvdntoys and muleentertainment through Half.com for the dvd and I've yet to get a confirmation from either of them I sent a question to dvdntoys because it said there that it ships same day as order is placed. have yet to get any response to that either. I'll be pretty pissed if I don't get a dvd out of either of them. There was another person on the list with those two this morning, but now that person is gone. Was that the returnwarehouse person you speak of? I really hope I get atleast one. If I get both I plan to just sell the other one to a friend of mine.

Tony, the FYE in King Of Prussia (the one in the mall on the 2nd floor) this morning told me they had them. I called again tonight and they said it was cancelled. So, looks like the virus is spreading.

Thanks for the info, Bill....I may try my luck down at the Springfield or Granite Run stores (i already struck out at the Exton Mall today) tomorrow. This is, of course, assuming its not a ice rink when i get up in the morning (this Philly weather sucks, doesnt it?)

dvdntoys could be DVDLegacy, not sure. If so don't get your hopes up. DVDLegacy lied about Duel shipment, then cancelled. Half buyers also got screwed with Duel, so expect the same here. Why sell it for $20, get $100!! Will check out Suncoast and fye tomorrow. May get lucky.

The word (virus) is spreading.

Tony, I skipped work today. I have to take a bus (29 years old and still don't drive)

Should be a blast tomorrow. Right now all is fine but the way things are going, looks like we won't get lucky and get ice again just like last week.

Anyway, Tower Records may screw up (Located on 202 in KOP) and have it.

Hell, I found the OOP Sixteen Candles (a year before the new release) & And God Created Woman at the FYE in KOP...so maybe I'll get lucky somewhere in KOP.

Thanks for the email Bill and for posting the info here. I have been waiting for this for a while and ordered a copy from Half... We will see what happens. The guy says he had 55 of them, so maybe he is for real/
I agree, thanks for the update ... hopefully that worked ... but I thought I should update the thread, that guy who said that he had 55, he's no longer listed on half.com, so either he sold out or they kicked him off or something...

Maybe i'll skip work tomorrow and make a run up at KOP. I've seen some early releases up at the Best Buy behind the mall on occasion, so maybe ill get lucky there or at Tower.
Thanks!

I've now ordered 2 copies: one from returnwarehouse (the guy with the 55 copies, who still hasn't confirmed the order) and one from totalcampus.com. We'll see how it goes...

eccch... looks like I'll have to search for this disc... I bought the R2 ages ago, it has everything the R1 has EXCEPT deleted scenes. It's a shame this disc was recalled - it is worth owning just for the extras alone.

I also just noticed he has good feedback and is a Power Seller - I am talking about returnwarehouse. SO, maybe those who ordered from him on HALF.COM before he took them don will get their DVD's...I hope so. I know feedback/being a power seller doesn't guarantee anything, but still, it is at least a bit encouraging. OK, OK, I just really want to get a copy and am trying to be optimistic!!

Zack --

Has he confirmed the sale yet, or is the status of the transaction "Awaiting confirmation?"

I too, bought from this guy at half.com around noon and now it's 10:40 and still hasn't accepted it yet.
I bought one online at fye.com and they haven't cancelled yet...

So that's two possibles.

I found someone on eBay who has four copies IN HAND/READY TO SHIP, 2 are buyitnows and two are for bidding. And yes, I bought one of those BuyItNows. So if fye.com or half.com sends me one or both, for whoever doesn't get one, I'll be pleased to sell to you guys here at dvd talk.com before eBay.

I preordered two from fye, and two from walmart. If any of these actually get shipped, ill offer them up here also....i prefer not to sell anything on ebay.

I ordered from the other guy on half.com. The one listed at 21.95 who claims to have it in stock. I got a seller confirmation about 2 hours after I ordered, although the seller does have some questionable feedback.

as of this evening, i had not recieved a recall notice from corporate at my fye. seems odd that others are reporting such a thing as all emails from corp are sent out at once.

i'll keep you posted.

I was so close tonight. FYE had 20 copies sitting in their back room, and I almost convinced the guy to go get a few for me, but when he was checking to see what day they'd come in, the release date must've been listed along side it or something. "Oh... That doesn't come out for another week. Check back on February 3rd."

With my luck, they will have been sent back by then and my chance will be gone.

I'm still hoping against odds that our store (Borders) will get some copies, but I'm not optimistic. The warehouse hasn't shipped our next batch of street dated multimedia out yet, and while we're slated to be getting several copies, it could very well be rerouted right back to Buena Vista in the meantime.

Anyone gotten a shipping confirmation from Amazon on this? I put in a last minute preorder a few hours before they pulled their listing.

I picked up the last copy at my local FYE two days ago after reading about this being recalled. It was $29.99, I don't plan on opening mine at all, just in case they change anything on the DVD when they finally release it.

I work at Blockbuster and we got one copy in today, it will also be $29.99, but who knows it may be recalled.
