Oh ok. I don't have that email anymore. I ordered like a couple months ago so that email is long gone.
|
Mine says "In Progress" and ordered Feb. 2.
When did everyone order theirs? Maybe the ones that have received theirs ordered earlier than that. |
"In Progress"
Ordered Feb 10th |
I would have mine right now, but my credit card company denied the charge thinking it was Internet fraud. :(
|
"In Progress" - ordered January 18th.
|
So there's no link I can go to to check unless I kept that email?
|
The links go straight to the exact order placed.

Here's a few recent shots of Linda Cardellini. They're from last Saturday's Scooby Doo 2 premiere. Only click if you're interested.

If someone has the capability once they receive their limited edition, I'd love to see some pics of the collection.

DJ Longfellow,
I don't know why it shipped from Sony Online Store -- are they the distributor for the limited edition? Whatever the reason, I'm glad it came so soon. Anyway, the yearbook is really cool, inside and out -- you can tell a lot of effort was put into it (it looks a lot like my real yearbook from 1983!) And I watched the pilot episode. The picture quality and the original stereo mix are both really good, but the 5.1 audio mix is not. To my ears, it's another faulty TV 5.1 mix, like the ones done for "The Monkees," "My So-Called Life" and the "Eerie Indiana" box set. The voices come out of the center and front speakers at the same time, and there's no sense of direction. While it's not quite as unlistenable as those others, it's pretty worthless because the stereo mix sounds so much better. Again, I've only watched the one episode -- maybe other 5.1 mixes are better. Even with that letdown, though, this still seems to be the best TV-show DVD collection yet. Adam |
Why am I not surprised that somebody is already selling their copy on Ebay with a $199 starting price. Of course, no mention in the auction that you can get it for $120 from the F&G website. Dirtbag.

"Freaks and Geeks" 5.1 mix
I spoke to the DVD producer, who informed me that they initially only wanted to include the stereo mixes which were done when the series aired but, due to requests, were asked to include 5.1 mixes as well. He said they did the best extraction 5.1 mixes which the production budget would allow from the original stereo. Considering those constraints, he said they're very happy with the way the 5.1 mixes turned out.

Hey guys,
I got my special edition today. Man, it's pretty amazing. The yearbook looks like any real HS yearbook. It has the signatures and notes of Sam and Lindsey's friends on both the front and back of the yearbook. It has pictures and a few articles of about the show. And the DVD's come in slip cases! |

From the website forum:
I just called customer service to address a problem with my order. The person I spoke to said that they already shipped their first run of SE Yearbooks. So with that said I will have to wait until the next run becomes available. She said she had a copy on her desk and said it was awesome (now I cant wait!). The interesting thing was she said that they were even amazed at how many orders already came in. Looks like they have a winner! Sounds like some of us are waiting for the next run. :( Here's a review: http://www.dvdverdict.com/reviews/fr...leteseries.php |
I ordered this a week ago and I still haven't gotten any sort of e-mail confirmation. Is this normal?
|
I ordered mine on 3/1, and have not received a shipping notice, but did receive the set today. It is a beautiful bound yearbook with 80 pages of photos, articles/writings, and an episode guide. The discs are held in individual sleeves on extra sturdy cardboard pages at the back of the book. I can post pics later today if no one else has hopped to it by then! I will say that this is just a dream come true for many of us (myself included).
