I didn't get any.
|
As with most virii these days, the From address in the e-mail is usually fake, and the person who actually sent the e-mail. The addresses are taken from the address book on the infected computer.
|
I got these, too. Like ten of them with weird subjects and no messages. Just zip files to d/l. It sure seems weird.

From the F&G website:
We are aware of the problem and are trying to figure out if it is a result of something we did, or someone doing something nutty to the emails. Our internet people were gone all weekend so we will get it figured out Monday broght and early. Sorry for any inconvenience. -Judd Apatow |

Alright, I finally gave in, ordered myself a copy of the limited edition. April can't come soon enough. Like someone else stated earlier, if I didn't think it was worth the 120, I could easily ebay it, make a profit, and probably enough to pay for the retail.
The show is really great, and I have a feeling this will really raise the bar for TV on DVD. |

I have to admit that I'll most likely ebay this set after I watch the extra discs and then use the (hopeful) profit to buy the 6-disc version... :) |
Like someone else stated earlier, if I didn't think it was worth the 120, I could easily ebay it, make a profit, and probably enough to pay for the retail. He has a point if you're a huge fan of the show (I still think it's one of the best shows to ever grace television), you want everything so thus buy the $120 set. But if you like the show and don't care about the extras, then I can see why you only pay the $60 for the retail edition. Hell, when Artisan was supposed to release it and they had an estimate SRP for $120 just for the six-disc edition, I still would've bought it. I see it like this, for $120 you get eight discs (at $15 each), collectable packaging, and a near 100 page booklet. For $70 (SRP of the retail set), you only get six discs (at $11.66 each) and just packaging. Then again, come release day, that set will probably be $50 - $60 at most places. I'd rather just spend the $120 and get everything possible as I'm sure they won't do a double dip anytime soon. ;) |
Well, the 6-disc set is currently under $45 at some places, shipped. And the 8-disc set is really $130 after shipping. So the difference is about $85...but I still think you'll make a profit ebaying it...or truly enjoy it yourself as it has TONS of extras.

And the 8-disc set is really $130 after shipping |
Originally posted by Matthew Chmiel I thought the shipping was free (unless you lived in Canada)? My total with "rush" shipping came out to $120.00. |
I think he meant to say "With tax." My total was about 130 as well. |
From Paul Feig:
Oh, man, do I feel bad! I've been off directing an episode of Arrested Development and haven't checked the web site for a week. I had no idea that this virus thing had affected so many people. I received word that a virus had gone out a few days ago and was completely bummed out. That's such a huge drag. First of all, many apologies to anybody whose computer was affected. I had trouble once before with someone hacking into my screen name at AOL and using it to send out mass emails but never a virus. Anyway, just wanted to tell you all how bad I feel about it. We're working extra hard now to make sure stuff like this doesn't happen again. Thanks and sorry! Paul |
Received a confirmation that my set shipped this afternoon. Anyone else get this? Seems pretty early, but I'm not complaining!
|
Vaddar, did you order the six disc edition or went all out and get the eight disc? ;)
If you got the eight disc, I haven't gotten a confirmation yet. |

This was for the 8 disc. God, I can't wait to get my hands on this set. Hopefully I can get it before spring break so I have something to do then. ;) |
No confirmation yet. I bought the 8 disc.

Damn, I've never seen this show but I'm a sucker for limited editions. I saw some spots for the show when it was airing, and it looked like something I would like. Hmmmm, so many limited sets that month, Kill Bill Region 2, Alien Quad Region 2, and now this. What to do!?!?!
|
Get 'em all!!!!!!
