What place is predominantly the cheapest for new releases, upcoming releases, etc...? I find Circuit City good for new rels, but I am deft. Thanks for any help.

If you're willing to wait a little while for new releases, there is no better deal for most discs than Columbia House (other than those "free DVDs" sites, I guess). Not sure about box sets, though.

what does B&M mean?
No, wait, that's something else.
He means brick and mortar, as in an actual store instead of ordering online.

I's more focused on getting my dvds/films the fastest way possible...regardless of the price. I'm in a position where I can spend a few extra bucks without worry. however, this fine point in my life may not last forever, so I need to start learning to save a little so when the time comes...it's all good. but for now...here is where I buy most of my dvds:
Amazon.com-fast shipping, great selection and helpful service whenever there is a problem.
Borders-sometimes it's the SERVICE and RESPECT I recieve that makes me choose a source. Borders rolls out the red carpet for me every time I walk in the door. a free cup of joe never hurts either. also...how many places can you order 10 dvds and not pay a cent until they arrive? the database on-line features many hard-to-find titles too. prices are sky high. I dont buy the newest releases there...just special orders.
Best Buy-for new releases maybe every other week. new releases are cheap...at least for me.
xploited.com-for most of my import needs. Tony is a class act with some of the best service and communication I have ever recieved, and thats the truth.
Poker Industries-for my Asian needs and some other stuff.
these are my big 5.

For me all my purchasing is done on line. I pretty much find everything I need at either one of two stores and I have a pretty diverse collection.
First Choice - DVD Pacific
Second Choice - DVD Empire

I'm sure that many of you will be surprised by this, but most of my DVD's come from DDD.
Other sources (about 20% of purchases):
- Columbia House from time to time
- eBay and Half.com (R.I.P.) for OOP's
- DVDPlanet for some Criterions
- an occasional purchase from BB or WalMart
