I walked into the trash closet in the hallway of my apartment building this afternoon to dump my garbage. On the floor was a freaking huge pile of dvd cases. I just figured that the owner had purchased one of those nylon CD type booklets and didn't want the cases. I about lost it when i opened one up and it had the disc inside, they all did. I ran to my apt, grabbed a trash bag and scooped them up. Going thru the titles I was suprised to only find 6 of them that I already owned ( i got over300 currentlyy). Most of the titles are girlie type flicks but it is OK. I already gave some to my girlfriend. Anybody else experience something this crazy?!?!?

found two very new DVDs in the trash when my neighbors moved out. also girlie flicks...guess that's their nature.

I found 232 DVDs in a house down the street. They are now sitting pretty on my shelf.

That sounds like 2 pretty good reasons right there. I'm sure there are around 40 more.

Mt godparents found one at the mall and gave it to me. The closest I came to free was at a going out of business sale. I bought tons for $1 - $2, sold off some to get my cash outlay reimbursed and ended up with over 100 DVD's for my collection at no charge.

If I was in a relationship with someone that had a FULLSCREEN edition of a DVD in their possession, I'd break up with them too.

I could never, evar get so lucky to find a pile of dvds. WOW!
Maybe they got evicted, and all their crap got thrown out, including the foolscreen chick-flick dvds.
I personally would've picked the few out of interest to myself and sold the rest as one big lot on eBay. Then with the money you could've bought something very nice for your girlfriend for Christmas. Either that or a pretty good time a the nudey bar.

So did you fish them out of the dumpster with your robotic arm attachment? Thats the only way to go dumpster diving in style.
