Hey, you know what would be an interesting thread? Instead of what we did buy, we should say what we didn't buy and why. However, for the interest of, ya know, logistics, let's stick with stuff we were considering buying, but for some reason didn't. Obviously there's a ton of stuff we didn't buy for the simple reason that we had no interest in it in the first place. So, "I didn't buy Pearl Harbor on DVD cuz while it is a cheap lobotomy, it is an expensive coaster" is not quite acceptable. Okay, I'll go first:

DVD-related:
I didn't buy Alias (both seasons), cuz I'm not sure whether to go thru DDD or use my discount at Best Buy. Also, I've never seen the show, and it's a pretty expensive blind buy.

Non-DVD-related:
I didn't buy that -looking cake at Wegman's, cuz, although it looked like heaven, it cost a remarkable $15. Perhaps glasschicken and I can split the bill. Huh? Huh? Whaddaya say? Bueller?

I finally snagged a copy of the original R1 Short Citcuit DVD (long out of print) on eBay. Amazingly enough, I didn't get skinned for it either. I haven't see the movie in ages, so I'm looking forward to watching it in widescreen with 5.1 and a bunch of nifty bonus features

Just an update:

Received Fitzcarraldo today..not had chance to check out the A/V of the supposed new transfer of the main film etc....however whereas i was expecting a bonus disc to have some TV documentary about the making of the film and the complications involved the second disc is actually Les Blank's 'Burden Of Dreams' - no forced german subtitles, so very pleasantly pleased.

Well 5AM here and I decided to surf a little before I head into work....

I bought Battlestar Galactica - The Complete Epic last night... I was on the fence on this one but a conversation at work yesterday coupled with the post about the detachable cylon head on this forum pushed me to the "Greene" side of the fence (hahahah GET IT ?? - sometimes I just kill myself ! - not !)

Was thinking about buying the new Stooges set but I have NO clue what's on it (nothing is listed in Amazon and I was too lazy to do any research this morning)...

Anyways, off to work and the (drumroll followed by trumpets) obilgatory company Christmas party where at least 5 people will end up making fools of themselves and I will be caught in the social pit of despair
