What a deal! I love DeepDiscount, and this just goes to show why. The only frustrating thing about this is that I just bought 3 DVD's from them yesterday. Oh well, I managed to pick up a couple of box sets I had been eyeing for awhile. Here's what I got:

Victory at Sea $35.81
The World at War $71.99
X-Men 2 $11.91
Office Space $ 10.37

I'll have to have a friend or relative sign up for an account so I can grab the Alien Quadrilogy next week. I'm really tempted to splurge and pickup the Chaplin Short Comedy Classics, The Art of Buster Keaton, and Ken Burn's Baseball & Civil War box sets as well, but that would really break the bank. This deal is especially good for box sets and Criterions.

Was the privacy report (red eye) feature available on 5.5? I could be wrong, but I don't remember it.

I had to use Opera instead of Netscape and had to re-add every single dvd to the cart, but placed my order. I'll place the contents here once I sell on eBay the stuff I'll use to pay this order off Got some Criterion, Ken Burns, and LOTR goodness.

BTW does anyone know if DDD ships today Thursday? I ask because I had placed a gift order before this one and forgot to change the "ship to" back to myself, so I have to get that changed before it ships. Do you think CSRs will be there today Thursday? Can they change the ship to address? Worse comes to worse I explain to her about the gift but I'd prefer if it comes to me in the first place.

Doubtful. Unfortunately, you'll be lucky if you can even reach anyone until Friday. But DDD is normally pretty good @ dealing with these matters.

Ken Burns Civil War for around $76 bucks sounds mighty tempting. I remember watching that in 6th grade history. Was a hoot!

But do you think they'll ship? If they don't ship it's ok if I can't reach them. I don't think they would have fulfillment up without having CSRs up do you?

Also, I forgot to add The Beatles Anthology, Scarface SE, and Beauty and the Beast. If I explain to them the whole cart thing do you think they'll let me add it to the order with them on the phone?

Tomorrow? No. In fact, knowing DDD and factoring in the numbers of people placing orders over the next few days, you should be okay until at least Monday. Well you could always try reaching them. Its certainly possible csr's are there due to the sale. If you call them on the phone, providing the 20% off is still up, they will almost definitely take your order.

Wish I had more $$ to part with. I ordered Wrong Men and Notorious Women from Overstock yesterday ($81 with the 10% coupon), but it got fouled up and didn't go through.

Went home, found this deal and ordered it for $72. Thanks OP!

You and I both know that coupons can not be combined. They are the same coupon.

And I hope everyone is also using the DVDTalk DeepDiscountDVD link at the top of the page.

BTW - Way to go Geoff!
