Saw them at my local Best Buy as well. About 20 of them on the shelf.
I figure that after they are all released, we will see "Remastered" Saga sets, like the first batch.
I bought all of the separate box sets the first time around, for the extra discs in each set, but I'm not falling for that one again.

OK, so I'm confused here. Is this new release of Robotech Remastered: Volume 1 including all of the episodes from Robotech - The Masters: Complete Collection or not? I thought Remastered Volume 1 contains all of the Masters' episodes, Remastered Volume 2 contains all of the Macross Saga episodes and Remastered Volume 3 contains all of the episodes from the New Generation. Am I just dead wrong here?

I picked this up today at Best Buy, and I can only say...
GET IT!
The images are so clean now in comparison to the older set I had, plus the audio is really something! Wait until you watch one of the first space battles!

I have the complete original Robotech release on DVDs. I love the Macross Saga. Probably replace those DVD's with this new set. Probably keep my original set for the Masters and New Generation

I was able to pick it up early at the Toledo Best Buy. As RockyMtnBri said it is truely awesome. The picture is fantastic and I can not believe how good the DD5.1 sound is. The really did do a great job of remixing it. I plan on selling off my individual discs from the previous release on Ebay. I am going to keep the extras discs though. Maybe I'll have Paul Champlain make a custom Robotech extras box for these discs.
If anyone is still on the fence, don't be! Just buy them!

Found an interesting webapge highlighting the difference between Robotech: Macross Saga and the original SDF Macross.
http://protocultural.lebhead.com/
So, there will be three remastered DVDs to the Macross Saga, right?

I'm one of those annoying anime purists, but we won't go there today.
I would like to give props to ADV though for offering these at a reasonable price. $20 for 12 episodes is not bad at all.
