Help with TWO TOWERS: EE sticker....
GRRRRRRR!!!
I hate these darn things. I know that if I don't pull it off right, I am gonna get sticker crap all over the case and also part of the sticker not coming off right leaving white sticky things on it.
The sticker I am referring to is the one that is on the back and goes to the top of the case. It has all the DVD details on it.
I am afraid to take off the sticker and I am asking for your advice on how to do it. I don't know what to do. Don't say "take it off VERY slowly..." because that doesn't always work.
HELP!!! =p
PS. Yes I am anal. =-p

Any sticker residue can be safely and easily removed with a bit of lighter fluid. It shouldn't damage the cardboard as long as you don't put alot on it at once and wipe off the excess fairly quickly. I've even used it to remove stickers from magazine covers with no problems.

A blow dryer/heat gun will work well. A heat gun is the preferred method. You can go to a Blockbuster/Hollywood/Gamestop or anywhere that has a shrinkwrap machine. They will probably help you out, maybe even do it for you.

Lighter fluid or "Goo Gone".
Both work very well for getting sticky residue off DVD cases. Dab some on a cloth, and wipe off.
Just make sure you take the sticker off very GINGERLY. Slowly doesn't always work; carefully always does.
Y'know Evan, this thread reminds of this post!

Folks,
Seems the Canadian R1 has the paper stuck onto the box. The US R1 doesn't?
Anyway, whatever the case, I have the Canadian R1 and had the same problem. Nothing seemed to get the paper and glue residue off.
But I got it off in the end!
All you need to do is get a Q-Tip, put the tip in your mouth and wet it with saliva. Then gently rub over the paper and glue residue. Wet the Q-Tip again and rub (remember, do it gently - it will take time, but you don't want to damage the box!). Keep doing this and after you've gone through a few Q-Tips, it will all have come off cleanly

Oh and just in case you're misunderstanding me - you gotta carefully peel the paper off FIRST, THEN remove whatever residue is left.
