I only lack Moonraker and For Your Eyes Only in having the ones I really like.

Live and Let Die
Moonraker
For Your Eyes Only
"Live and Let Die" is in Volume 3, and the other two are in Volume 2
Its ridiculous to buy a box set for one or two DVD's, especialy on a limited Income.

I need four:
"For Your Eyes Only"
"The Living Daylights"
"Tomorrow Never Dies"
&
"On Her Majesties Secret Serivce"
And i also refuse to buy a box set with some other movies just to aquire the few i want.
Shame on you MGM, i'm starting to dislike you as much as Universal.

It does look as though many of us will be scouring the used sections of our local mom and pop stores. Even though no online retailer is offering individual titles I still have hope that the warehouse clubs (costco, bjs, sams) will offer them as one offs.
If retailers see that the sets are not selling do you think that they will break them up to get some of their idle cash off their shelves?

Sounds like we have enough people here that want differing singles that some sort of deal could be worked out. People sign up for a particular disk, and that set is bought and the individual disks sent to the people who bought into that set. Probably should be set up on the DVD Exchange forum, if it hasn't already (haven't checked).
I've got them all from the previous releases, but I'd bet that there is a wide enough range in people's taste in Bond films that such a system could work....

I'm also peeved that I can't buy individual disks. I can't afford a box set right away, so my hope was to buy one disk about every other week, and watch a couple Bond movies every month.

Do what i did, and this goes for anyone else that peeved about MGM. Voice your concern to them. Send them an E-mail, call customer service. I have done both. Weather it does any good who knows.
Also always check ebay to see if anyone is seeling any used copies, but be careful to many bootlegs are showing up as well these days.
My fear is that somone is going to try making money off MGM like I predicted. There is a demand for having the movied sold Individualy, and some dam fool or fools will be selling obe of the Bond movies for more than its worth.

Allow me to add another ticked-off voice that these titles aren't being sold individually. There's no way I'll be buying either of these sets. Personally, I'm only after the Sean Connery titles and the odd Roger and George flick. Not interested in Timothy Dalton's work at all. Pierce Brosnan's Bond flicks were okay but I can't think of any I'd like to own. Boo to you, MGM!

It's pretty annoying they did this, although I will not be surprised to see them released in a month or two "due to popular demand". I kind of hate to encourage them doing this, but I wanted all but one (Die Another Die) so I did end up buying sets 2 and 3. I just left DAD out of the equation, and 15.23 including tax (76.15/5), or $14 each before tax, seemed like a good enough deal for set 3 to just pick them up now.

They didn't have very many boxes at Media Play. The clerk told me they were going to stop making all three of the boxes in January. I'm not saying he's right, but I'd certainly pick them up now vs. later.

There are no words to describe how pissed off I am at MGM for doing this. I'm a HUGE James Bond aficionado, and I aim to own all 20 titles. I currently own 11, including all of the titles contained in the re-release of "Volume 1", as well as a few odd titles I picked up here and there. I was certainly looking forward to buying the rest individually, but now it seems I can't. What total and utter crap. MGM continues to milk its ONE and ONLY franchise for all its worth. I absolutely refuse to bend over, grab my knees, and pay for Volumes 2 and 3, picking up a lot of titles I already own. I love 007 movies so much that I was even planning on buying the 2005 re-releases eventually. Now, I either have to find some incredibly difficult way of finding the remaining titles I need new (since I do not buy used DVDs), or wait until 2005 and purchase ALL the Bond movies over again, including the ones I already own, in some new "special edition".
Screw MGM. It makes my head spin thinking about how I will ever be able to attain all 20 Bond movies on DVD. I am definitely boycotting them until they correct this mistake. Until then, I will be sure to avoid handing them any of my money. I will also contact them with my thoughts and I urge the rest of you to do the same.

One of the small chains here in NYCity is apparently breaking them out and seeling the titles for $12.99 each. I don't know where else they could be getting them. They appear to be the same as the ones in the box sets, mgm special editions. Anyway I had found all but 8 at various used sources so I didn't want to buy the box sets,so it worked out well for me.
BTW this is the same chain that often breaks street dates by as much as 2 or 3 weeks. Started selling the new Alien 9 disk on this past tuesday.
