I'm glad someone brought up the fact that the SFX/SEX gag is still in there. Here's looking foward to this thread making a turn for this debate.

My only beef about the 2 disc releases... Snow White is in a different keepcase than the others and BATB has a 1 on the bottom of the spine but SB & LK doesn't have any numbering.

For that matter, it's $14.87 at Wal*Mart.

They numbered BatB to keep it in line with all the BatB sequels: Enchanted Christmas is II and Magical Worlds is III, IIRC.

Pretty ridiculous, but not that big a deal.

I think that count's as removing the SEX/SFX gag . . . of course this is only a single frame . . .

I can't believe no parent/religious groups have ever complained about Rafiki telling Timon to lick his hairy nutsack. I mean honestly....!

Interesting. In motion, the SFX doesn't look that obscured on the DVD. It just looks "covered up".

Oh and, PixyJunket, I'm not saying that this is good or bad. Either way, it doesn't affect my enjoyment of the film. I'm just saying that while watching it in motion it doesn't seem like they flat out removed and/or replaced the gag but rather touched it up.

I can't believe on this board of all places, people act like the changes are unimportant. Isn't this the same place everybody bitches about OAR. Some people have said "as long as the story isn't changed it's still good". WHAT! Pan & Scan doesn't change the story but we sure do complain about that.

If these changes don't mean anything why did disney spend big dollars to do it?

My comments were not towards you! You seem to be sane and reasonable.

Even better @ DDD (for a few more days anyway) .... $14.89 Shipped, & no tax (unless you're an unlucky Illinois resident).

Doubt this deal'll be topped.

Nooooo!! That was when he said “up your ass are squashed bananas up your ass are squashed bananas” and that was in a Lion King talking book not in the movie.

And I thought it was to number the Premiere Series.
That would make more sense, but I understand, this is Disney we're talking about. Still tho, Snow White looks out of place next to the other 3.

More to the point (imho) - Why on earth would you give a rip about minor cosmetic changes to a movie you don't seem to appricate all that much in the first place?

My thoughts exactly.

I've never understood why people ask fellow- DVDTalkers if they think they should return something. Do YOU think you should return it? Obviously we all have differing opinions.

I'm with the majority on this one. A stellar transfer...with amazing sound, and some not-too-shabby extras ... and you got all that at a bargain price, and you are questioning it? I really don't understand why you bought it in the first place, but to each his own...
