And PLEASE, PLEASE, HBO, be sure to issue the original version of the first three episdoes. By that, I mean with Nicholas Campbell as the Hitchhiker.
For reruns, HBO deleted all of Campbell's footage, re-shot some (but not all) of it with Fletcher Page, and those are the only versions that have been shown since 1984.
I think we should get the original presentation!
By the way, I'm NOT hoping for single season sets, as the first season only contains three episodes! I vote they release seasons 1 and 2 together, then release series 3 afterwards.
Oh, and also... NO "censored for US syndication" versions... release only the original, uncut, "r-rated" versions, please, and with the original opening/closing credits intact on all episodes (unlike the previous VHS volumes).

By the way there is NO WAY they will ever insert Nick Campbells fottages, for I know he wanted some money, so they said the hell with it, lets tack in paige fletcher!

I just saw the Encylopedia Brown tv show that was on HBO about 10 years ago. They had about five tapes at the Library. Wowit is so cool toi see this show after years of seeing it advertised on the books I read as a kid. I loved the books as a kid and the show is pretty good. If HBO released this i'd buy the DVDs.

Gotta agree with Hardcore TV, if only for the brilliant skit "Raging Bullwinkle". Man, I've gotta dig up my VHS copy of that - it was great! They also did "The Moosehunter", which was OK, but RB was the best.

I thought 'Dream On' had problems due to, you know, the nature of the show ... rights issues and all. Maybe someday, though; it was their first big show (along with "Crypt", at least). (Incidentally, I don't think HBO has the rights to show those shows anymore; the reason they don't show them is that, as of whenever 'Mr. Show' ended, all the shows shown on HBO were made by HBO for HBO, so HBO gets more money off of them; in the old days, they were creator-owned, so the older shows aren't as profitable and, in some cases, have been sold off to other networks ['Dream On' was on Comedy Central for a while, and 'Tales From The Crypt' pops up on Sci-Fi and AMC].)
My vote is for 'Tanner '88', but now Sundance is doing a few new segments, so I'd like them to wait and do it right.
