I was hoping they'd add some of the docs that I have on VHS...but this is still a set...

I'm not a big extras fan, but since Raiders is my favorite movie, it would be nice to see more. Oh well. I'm sure the transfer will be excellent; anything less would be a disappointment.

I'm happy they put all the extras on a separate disc. This will give each movie plenty of room for a visual/sonic experience that the trilogy deserves.

That's it!? Making-of docs for each film plus 4 featurettes? Come on! I've been waiting years for these films and this is the treatment they get?

They can dump the 4th disc for all I care. I'm normally very into features but if they didn't want to give us anything I'd be fine with that.

Wasn't there a teaser for Temple of Doom included on the old VHS and LD copies of Raiders? How come that's not in the set?

Yes there was. I'm a bit miffed that it's not on there. I am hoping my information was incorrect in that respect. Who knows tho? Maybe they couldn't find the original.

NO Commentary track at all.?

thats sorta a let down. like the no DTS but thats expected because of lucas THX dolby deal.

god with what all is on the forth disc you would think they could just add all of the extras with each movie. I mean it's not like the disc is using up that much space.

Bummer on the extras. Still worth the $40 I'm spending though for the movies. Too bad Speilburgh doesn't do commentaries.

Sounds great to me. I'm not an extras guy, so I'm happy just to get anamorphic transfers and DD5.1 tracks to retire my laserdiscs.

There was a bit about the upcoming DVD release of Schindler's List in the British film magazine Empire that mentioned the possibility of Spielberg recording his first yack track for that film. The staff of Empire is on very close terms with Spielberg so there may very well be some truth to the rumor.

As usual Paramount has a chance to hit a walk off homerun in game 7 of the World Series but instead they only hit a ground rule double. But still there's no way I'm not buying this, as long as the a/v is PERFECT I'll be happy but I can't help but feal like Paramount being lazy again.

I'd gladly trade that 4th disc if it meant getting dts and maybe a commentary or two.

Underwhelmed like most of you on the amount of extras, but I am still psyched to get this box set!

Of course I'm buying it. If there were no extras, I'd still have to buy it.

But...

How come each episode of Doctor Who gets more extras than these movies?

All in all, the extra's are not that impressive, but I won't turn down the set. I'll just be happy to finally own the trilogy.

The running times on the Making Of docs don't mesh on IMBD with the times of the ones released when the films were. Too bad, I'd rather watch them making the movies than talk twenty years later about making the movies.

Nope, these aren't the already aired/released making of.. specials. Those were APPARENTLY not included for some stupid and unknown reason.

Oh yeah...too much room must be taken up by that DTS track and commentaries.
