Probably. This would be my guess, if I were looking for an explanation. If you'll all (or some) recall, Dead Ringers went through this same process when it was in between printings. Nowhere to be found and then it was pressed and restocked again. Of course, it went OOP after the second printing, but you see what I'm saying...

This title has been speculation for OOP status for at least a year now and Criterion has issued the same response to this question every time that it comes up... Personally, I wouldn't panic, yet (see NOTLD ME scare from a few months ago). But, you never know...

Regardless, I picked up the last copy off the shelf at Best Buy today since I have been wanting to upgrade my copy (I owned the Canadian version) - and yes, I know there is no difference except the box. But I need the SPINE NUMBER!!

Canadian version now up on ebay...hopefully the upgrade won't be too expensive once old version is sold.

I'm in the exact same situation! OOP or not, I'll probably pick up the US version sealed and open up my Canadian one to enjoy this great flick!

For anyone in the L.A. area that wants to pick up one, I was at DVDPlanet on Sunday and they had half a dozen on the shelf.
