when you buy a Dvd Box set because it is mispriced at $14.99 in another language and you have never even seen the movies before

I do not lend out my Dvd's, my own, my precious

I know you sincerely believe that now, but as that last disc's arrival is pending, your mind will start subtly suggesting to you that maybe...you need a Superbit version of Das Boot or maybe...that Criterion copy of Charade is worth looking into.

The goal posts tend to keep moving back on you as you approach them, believe me.

This is experience talking

for me it's thinking of films and the art of film in the form of DVD.. To be honest that is a bit wrong being they are ment to be "films" on a big screen, group of people etc and so on..

but I have started to think of them more along the lines of "Oh that will be a good DVD".......
I've done this all summer. You know something's wrong when you walk out of T3 and you think "that will sound great with a DTS track on the DVD" or "I wonder if Bay will do a commentary track for BB2" When these are the first thoughts running through your head after seeing a movie on the big screen, it's time for twelve-step program.

Nowadays I almost always walk out of a movie wondering what the dvd will be like and how it will sound. After I walked out of The Hulk I was saying to myself "I can't wait to see the documentary on how they created the hulk digitally". I also was wondering what Miramax was going to do about the 3-D portions of Spy Kids 3 when it comes out on dvd.

So does anyone know of any dvd self-help groups I can join now?

Yeah, I let my close friend borrow Rules of Attraction the other day. He only had it for one night and I thought about it all night long.

I think I realized I was obsessed with DVDs when the first thing I thought about a movie after seeing it in theaters is "That would be cool to own on DVD." I think we all are freaks, but at least it's better than crack. Some could also compare DVDs to the modern day book collection, but that might a little bit of a stretch.

Actually, I'm sort of looking forward to owning the DVD of Freedomland (w/ Julianne Moore and Morgan Freeman.)

It starts shooting in September.
