I have a great idea for deleted scenes!

I don't know if this has been done before... (i've never seen a dvd that had it) but I would love to see a dvd where the deleted scenes are INCLUDED in the feature where they were intended to be originally.

anybody know of any dvds that already have this??

It exists and it's called Branching.

Die Hard, Independence Day ( Five star ) both have it for sure.

X-Men first release does this as well (can't remember if X-Men 1.5 does this too).

A "director's cut" usually consists of material originally deleted - the recent DVD of Dances With Wolves puts about an hour of "deleted scenes" in place.

Sometimes scenes that were deleted early on in the editing process might not be able to be placed back in context for a number of reasons, including no final sound mix or color corrections.

DVDs that inlcude both the "theatrical cuts" and "extended cuts" (or "director's cuts"):
- The Abyss: Special Edition
- Die Hard
- ID4
- The Rocky Horror Picture Show
- Terminator 2
- There's Something (More) About Mary

DVDs that include both R-Rated and Unrated versions:
- Body Shots
- Embrace of the Vampire
- Jason Goes To Hell
- Poision Ivy Trilogy

X-Men and X-Men 1.5 include "extended branching" where an icon pops up when a deleted scene is available to watch.

Wait, I also have a great idea for deleted scenes! Why not put them on the DVD, but separated from the movie? Maybe they can be accessible from the main DVD menu! So you can watch the movie, then watch the deleted scenes separately!

Pay it Forward has an ending someone came up with while high and that I assume was to be deleted but somehow was put back in.

Wait! I have a better idea! Not only should they put in deleted scenes in the movie but also put in the bloopers they've done while filming at the spot it originated when they made the movie and then see the final edition of it as you continue watching the rest of the movie.

I think he means have an option to either add the deleted scene in the feature or keeep it out. I think it's a cool idea I'd like to see as well.

Also, you can add Stargate:UE to the list of those DVDs with both theatrical and extended cuts.

I think the two disc special edition of Snatch has this option.

The upcoming release of Identity supposedly has a branching option.

I'd like to see films with commentary from directors or actors.

But seriously seemless branching as it is a cool thing that can been used to do just what you want. I guess when you get down to it the diffenece between a theatrical release and directors cut is just that, deleted scenes added back in.

Just a warning the T2 seemless branching is a tad difficult to get to a search on the forum or look at easteregg.com will help you find it. the way to access it is by typing in the date of the bombing from the first picture I think its 083199 but I'm not positive.
