I definitely think that snapper cases should be banned from all future use, but I do like some of the cardboard cases for some new movies. Although I did notice that some of the edges were tattered and frayed, which didn't make me happy. I don't know how they would get frayed from just sitting on my dvd shelf...but other than that they are cool.

I guess I'm about the only one, but I too wish all DVDs were released in keepcases, with 2 disks or less in single width cases (so I could fit more in the same space). If they want a "special" case for a special edition, they could just use a slipcover.
I take decent care of my albums (although they have moved probably 10,000 miles since I bought some of them--also, I don't like the plastic covers) and every cover shows some wear at the corners. I haven't had any actually wear out unless I bought them used and already thrashed, but it just looks a bit ragged.
