Yeah, I have to do two scans of my collection to find a movie I want to watch but at least it looks neat and organized.
I do the same thing. I like the way the cardboards look, but it is true that the corners tatter and fray. Don't get me started on that wacky pagage for Six Feet Under...

I'm hoping all DVDs make the switch to thinpaks soon. I just finished converting my entire collection and couldn't be happier.

I definitely think that snapper cases should be banned from all future use, but I do like some of the cardboard cases for some new movies. Although I did notice that some of the edges were tattered and frayed, which didn't make me happy. I don't know how they would get frayed from just sitting on my dvd shelf...but other than that they are cool.

I guess I'm about the only one, but I too wish all DVDs were released in keepcases, with 2 disks or less in single width cases (so I could fit more in the same space). If they want a "special" case for a special edition, they could just use a slipcover.

I take decent care of my albums (although they have moved probably 10,000 miles since I bought some of them--also, I don't like the plastic covers) and every cover shows some wear at the corners. I haven't had any actually wear out unless I bought them used and already thrashed, but it just looks a bit ragged.
