First off let me say that I love mobster movies and I am trying to expand my collection by finding one of the best mob movies ever made. So I've been searching and searching and I can't find a brand new copy for SCARFACE to buy. What's up with the availability? I know it's in big demand, and there are tons of bootleg dvd's out there....so why is Scarface so scarce? I would appreciate it if anybody could shed some light on this subject for me.

There are actually currently 8 threads that deal with Scarface or both it and Animal House in the past 3 days. Whew, talk about gettin' around.

Come on, Scarface is finally announced for a re-release and we get a influx of threads on the old release.

Something doesn't add up.

This is hilarious... a few days after the long-awaited announcement of the R1 SE and there's a thread about the old release. Whoops!

Sorry about adding another thread about Scarface to the growing number there has been in the past few days. I was just searching for the movie and hastily asked my question because I really wanted to know. But after reading the thread that SCHMEGGA provided I'll just be waiting until the SE is released.

Yeah, but the alternative is that he/she would've had to read the forum rules. And if that wasn't bad enough, he/she would be required to do something unheard of - clicking on the search option and typing "Scarface" after which he/she would probably have a brain aneurysm.
