A blind Buy..find a Helen Keller disc... should be blind enough for ya.
Seriously, Run Lola Run is always good and can be watched many many times and you see something different every time... as has been discussed already here.
Also, shockingly funny was Soroity Boys if you like that kind of stuff. Also, Croupier and Following..both excellent. I also recommend Primary Colors as well as it was great!

...zero effect or cube. this has not been decided yet.

The Devil's Backbone. You already have Donnie Darko and Dark City (two movies I would have recommended) so if you liked those, you might like The Devil's Backbone. Also, it's a little slower and weirder, but I think the BBC miniseries Gormenghast is really good.

BTW I just finished watching Nemesis Game and I think that fits into the types of movies you are looking for as well. I'm not sure I'm saying I recommend it though... have to think about it for awhile first

Try Takeshi Kitano's Hana-Bi (US Title: Fireworks). It's in my top 5 favorites list. Especially if you liked The Limey (similar melancholy tone).

I believe Croupier here is Full Screen...sadly. Elsewhere, which is where I plan on purchasing it, it is 16x9.

At the price (about 6-7 dollars at some places) I would say Jacob's Ladder is an absolute must buy.
Mulholland Dr. is simply unbelievable. Definitely go for that. Someone mentioned "Below" earlier in this thread. I second that, it was an enjoyable film and not overly stupid in the vein of movies such as "Ghost Ship". I don't know about 100 Girls. I thought the movie was very dumb, but bought it because I'm an ENERMOUS fan of Larisa Oleynik (Alex Mack on the Nickelodeon show). She's quite possibly the most beautiful actress in the world. She was given a really stupid role though in that movie. But yeah.
