If I was on dial-up I'd just stick with DVD Aficianado (my list)...
It's not fancy, but the completely customizeable folders/genres are very nice, and for friends and family it works well.
DVD Profiler was a great idea, and I still use it, but I find the genres annoying, and the way people are constantly updating almost all the DVDs all the time, often with mediocre data...
