hey guys,
I sent an email on june 7, but I have yet to receive my case. The only difference is, I'm in Canada, so I'm assuming it'll take a little longer than people in the states, but has anyone else in Canada got the replacement case.
thanks

Does anyone know if Artisan plans on replacing the damaged amaray case and cover art? I emailed [email protected] last week requesting a replacement and have not received a reply yet.

After reading all of these messages....I finally decided to open my copy of the new T2 DVD and see if mine was messed up at all. Thankfully,..it wasn't. Though..I told the wife,..that if she ever needed to...she could use the case as a weapon. Holy crap..that thing is SHARP!
I did put the DVD case back into the metal case,...but I turned it around,...so that the inside edges that everyone was saying was causing the trouble...would only scrath the plastic part of the case...if it even does get scratch. Doesn't seem like mine extend too far..so hopefully it should be ok.

I opened mine today. I squeezed and bent the case very slightly and the case started to come out on it's own. I slowly slid it out, making sure it didn't feel like it was catching on something.
**WHEW**
Yeah, I looked inside the metal case and I could definately see how all these gouges could occur. Boneheaded design...

Artisian is not sending new metal cases if that's what you thought.

hmmm......i did come up with the same idea of flipping the amaray around, and tried this with a test amaray case. unfortunately, it ended up scratching both left and right sides, not just on the side with the rivets.

I haven't received anything either. I guess I should e-mail them again. Or just send it back and get a replacement from DDD.
And will they be replacing the metal case with something that doesn't destroy the keepcase? I mean, the "cool metal case" was a big selling point for this title (at least in Artisan's advertising for it).

I simply returned mine to the store and got another copy. It too was messed up, so I exchanged it. And then again.
The second time within ten minutes that I exchanged it the manager asked what was up. I showed him and he helped me find a copy, after opening FIVE of them, that wasn't damaged during the packing.
No word or case from Artisan. Now they have six returns to deal with. Way to go, guys. Great business decision. Sending me a 50 cent case would have been cheaper in the long run, don't you think?
And I helped deplete my local Best Buy of all but two copies of your product. They may order more, but there's six sales they lost in the meantime.
Brilliant.

Well, the ones that they tore into were pretty badly damaged. The manager was *throwing* them into a bin as he grabbed the entire stack of them after having found three in a row that were all scraped up. I don't think these made it back to the shelves - and even if they did, who would buy them? The metal cases were all bent and dinged up.
Just terrible terrible packaging. I do have to say that the guy at Best Buy was way more helpful than anyone I've ever seen working there before. He also said that he got a lot of returns on the T2 disc because people couldn't get the plastic case out of the metal tray!

Today, I celebrate the one year anniversary of my post to the Stupid T2:E Case thread.
Luckily I was able to grab the custom cover on www.dvdcoverart.com before it went "down".
