Does anybody know what the proper aspect ratio is for this movie?
I purchased the original release some years ago and the transfer on that disc wasn't much wider than 1.78:1. It seemed as though it was much wider than that in the theater.

All I ask is that, either on Costner's Robin Hood: Prince of Tides SE or Flynn's The Adventures of Robin Hood SE, that the Daffy Duck "Robin Hood" cartoon be included as an extra.
"To trip and trip and tripandtripandtripandtripandtrippppp...."
"Yoiks! And awaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay *SMACK*"
"Ho! Hah! Guard! Turn! Parry! Dodge! Spin! Hah! Thrust!" *SMACK*

Costner's "Robin Hood" film is a namby-pamby, politically correct, and sickeningly treacly abomination. Much like Barbara Streisand!

I'm also a fan of the BBC Robin of Sherwood series.

I got the old one. Couldnt believe it was a flipper. My first flipper when I got it. I was so dissapointed in the medium at the time, I mean it was brand new and they couldnt even fit an entire movie on one side. thank god for dual layer. Id replace it for this reason alone.

I got the barebones version from Buy, Bid, Win (anyone else remember them???) for $4.99, so I don't mind too much doing the double dip on this one even if I just give my old copy away.

Not one of the greatest movies ever made ....
But
I enjoyed it a lot watching it when I recieved the VHS as a gift so 20 dollars and tax is worth it for some sentimental value.
