My memory of this thread doesn't go far enough back to remember if the price was ever confirmed for this set, but I noticed it's listed in our [Borders] computers now @ $92.99, which should pretty much point to rough $95 MSRP. I'd wager a guess that Best Buy and the like will have it on sale for around $70 or so. Not bad!

Seems weird, doesn't it? If any of them deserves a DTS track, it's Aliens.

Damn, only ALIEN and ALIEN RES. Aliens I wish out of all of them, it had it, cause it has the most places where it would be needed. All those fire fights, oh well. I'll take what I can get.

The Indiana Jones Trilogy (4-disc set) - Release date: 20 October, 2003 in the UK

They said DTS was left off of Alien 3 and ALIEN because of space reasons.

Although it has not yet been confirmed by Fox, the R1 release looks to be December 16.

Forgive me if this has already been covered, but did anyone else see the ALIEN director's cut trailer in the theater? I'm pretty sure I saw the scene flash by where what's-his-face is mutating into an alien egg... a scene that used to be on the cutting room floor and ended up as an extra on the first DVD release. Is it within the movie now? Bad move as the Alien Queen won't make sense now : does she create the eggs or do the eggs come from mutated humans, which is it? And it doesn't make sense that humans become eggs that hatch face huggers that lay eggs into humans making them hosts to make more aliens. What the heck? Leave the alien canon alone.

both versions will be in the dvd set, so just watch the original if you dont like what they are doing with the SE. IMO, no one has room to complain about Alien Quadrilogy... its going to be one of the most definitive dvd sets in the history of DVD... alien fans rejoice.

Read this thread NOW!!

According to the new book from TheDigitalBits, David Fincher's original version of Alien3 is on the Quadrilogy!! Holy freaking crap!! Now, Fincher had no involvement with the set, but it appears they went all out to reconstruct what Fincher had originally done!!

Wow. Makes my night. I hope this thing is released in December as rumored. I can not wait!!

Anyways, read that post I linked to above and smile!

Edit, also read post #1146 in that same thread above!

After looking at that, i cant understand how these movies could warrant such a special box set when they made zip at the box office
