Hold off for the 2022 line.
https://www.theverge.com/2022/1/4/22...nnounced-specs
At the top of the heap of this year’s “ULED” TVs is the flagship U9H Series. It’s got Mini LED backlighting (with over 1,280 dimming zones), quantum dot HDR, a peak brightness of 2,000 nits, support for 4K gaming at 120Hz, FreeSync variable refresh rate, and an upgraded processor for improved responsiveness.
Under that comes the U8H, the latest in the well-reviewed U8 series, and the one Hisense is positioning as its “best all-around TV.” The peak HDR brightness drops some to 1,500 nits, but you’re still getting the revamped Mini LED backlighting, all the expected gaming features, and a wide net of supported video modes that includes Dolby Vision IQ, HDR10+, IMAX Enhanced, FilmMaker Mode, and others. Also new for 2022 is a larger 75-inch size for the U8H Series.

Re: What do we think of Hisense brand TVs?
Has the regular U6G (= Android version) ever been as low as $499 before in 65"? I'm thinking it might go that low or lower as we approach Feb, the Superbowl rush and return, and the unloading of old 2021 stock as the new 2022 Hisense models are released. All indications are that they will be better than the 21 models (many thousands of "dimming zones"), but much more expensive. So, if you're not too picky, $499 for a 'decent' 65" set might be worth looking into.

For $499, the 65" Hisense U6G would be a great deal. The U6GR (R for Roku) is a different set and an inferior one, according to reviews I've read and postings on AVSForum,

Re: What do we think of Hisense brand TVs?
Yesterday Amazon & Walmart had the Hisense 65U7G on sale for $599.99. Would of brought the TV. But Walmart was OOS. Amazon had it in stock but does not ship any TV to HI. that's over 55 inches.
I would of had Best Buy price match Amazon but they were also OOS. Amazon sucks big time.

The 65U7G seemed like a super-deal for only $599 (which I missed), but I'm not sure it's enough of an advantage over the 67u6g to be worth even $100 extra. It's back up to $846 now, while the u6g is still at $599. I'd probably purchase the u6g if if ever drops to $499 vs the u7p at $599.
