Some new release Blu Rays are $40!!!!!! That's absurd. Three good new release blu rays with free shipping, 25% off, and 10% off comes out to $10 more than it did with the 3 for 60 and no codes.
Did you add the titles to your cart? They should come up at 25% off in your cart.

The 25% does come off into the cart as well as the additional 10% but what I meant was that it seems as though the Regular Club Price for most Blu Rays went up significantly. Some of the new release Blu Rays are priced at $40 which is much higher than a week ago. Therefore the 25% +10% still is more than it was last week without codes. It's like a big scam.

EDIT: How do you use Bonus Points by the way? If I have 6 and a movie has regular club price of $10 but is on sale for $4 can I use the points? I tried and it wouldn't let me. The points would be enough to cover the cost of the movie. I'm assuming you must have enough points to buy it at regular price, the only ridiculous CH style explanation I can think of.

Re: Columbia House Sale Offer Codes, Part V

^ You cannot apply bonus points to sale prices. The bonus points only apply to regular club price. You should, however, be able to apply the 6 points to the regular price and pay the difference (under the new Bonus Points terms and conditions).

Boy did they ever!!! What a price hike!!! When I got the 25% off Blu-ray's + FREE shipping email.. I got a little excited. Then a major BUZZ KILL happened when I put them in my cart.

Are the good ol' CH deals long gone??? This is soo depressing!!!

Thanks to all the code hackers that have given us the 10% off codes. 10% is better than nothing!!!

^ The Blu-rays have always been 25% off club price. It was just the 3 BD for $60 deal that brought the higher priced BD down to $20.

I specifically remember that just about every Blu Ray movie I bought using the 3 for $60 deal was about 26 to 27 bucks. The only reason I remembered this is because the price stayed that way until the third movie was added, then they all went down to $20. Some of the Blu Rays I got that were originally $26 to $27 last week now range from $30 to $35 for the same movies! Even with the new "Special" it still costs more than last week.

Re: Columbia House Sale Offer Codes, Part V

^What movies are you talking about? A movie that was $26 in your cart would have had a club price of around $35. The club prices are pretty much the same as the amazon list prices. Again Blu-rays have always had an automatic 25% off.

You're absolutely right about the price difference. We just bought a blu-ray player, and I have been trying to start a nice collection using my bonus points. For New Moon, Precious, Informant, Inglourious Basterds...I could go on.. but my point is: bonus points are redeemed for the actual club price, and I've never been asked to use 35 or now 40 bonus points for a blu-ray. The most I've used for a Blu-ray is 30 for a $29.96 Blu-ray. (Example transformers new club price $39.95 vs the $29.96)

Some definite wackiness going on at CH. I just tried Transformers Blu-ray out of curiosity. It was $29.96 when I added it to my cart by itself. It remained $29.96 when I added another Blu-ray. Then I added a third title and it shot up to $39.95. I then deleted that third title and it stayed at $39.95. Then I deleted the second Blu-ray and it went back down to $29.96. The lesson learned is that CH is still fucked up and you just need to keep experimenting until you get the price that you want in your cart.

Sounds like there might be a remnant of code left over from the 3 for $60 deal. Where it would drop the price to $20 with the third selection, it might now be kicking it up to list.

If that even matters.

CHOOSEITEM is a joke! I tried it on a $21.71 blu-ray. Not only did it take away free shipping, but it RAISED the price of the item. It took $5 off of the regular club price, so it became $23.95...

Terms on the $5 offer are really restrictive. Quoted from the email:

$5 off discount will apply to 1 item with a regular club price of $19.95 or more only and will not apply to shipping and processing or applicable taxes. The $5 Off an item with a minimum regular club price of $19.95 does not work in conjunction with your cycle offer of 60% Off DVDs when you buy 1 at regular club price. Get $5 Off 1 item with a minimum regular club price of $19.95 OR Get Free Shipping with your DVD order of $35 or more ends at 11:59 PM March 14, 2010 (EDT). You must enter the promo code in this message at checkout to get the special, email exclusive offer. These offers cannot be combined. The $5 off will be applied to the item with the lowest Club price. Your DVD order subtotal must reach $35 in order to qualify for the free shipping offer. Your Director's Selection and Upcoming Releases are not eligible for the $5 Off 1 Item offer. Your Director's Selection, Sets, Video Games or Merchandise are not eligible for the free shipping offer.

Re: Columbia House Sale Offer Codes, Part V

These sales are garbage. I wish the 3 for $60 was still around. I'd probably make an order with the free shipping.

Re: Columbia House Sale Offer Codes, Part V

Here's a B1G1 code.

20100317LD1D

It's a St Patty Day LUCKY DAY code, good for today only.

The email said there should be 2 other codes a B1G2 and 10% off your order. I cant find them I tried
20100317LD2D and it accepts the code, but nothing changes in my cart and 20100317LD3D and its invalid

Yeah, I tried the same thing (0-9) and only 1 & 2 are taking - with 2 not seeming to do anything. Acts like the "Wheel of Deals" a while back.

Re: Columbia House Sale Offer Codes, Part V

Also tried all the combinations and while 2 says it is accepted, it does nothing to the offer...

Nice ploy, CH. Nice ploy.

Shipping or no shipping, the B1G2 would have been nice.

I wonder if this qualifies for the buy1 in March, get one free in April, which amounts to a B1G2 (plus shipping).

Re: Columbia House Sale Offer Codes, Part V

I just got Lethal Weapon Blu-ray and The Hurt Locker using the B1G1 on my TV account for $14.70 total. The Blu-rays still have free shipping and for some reason HL only cost $1.99 to ship instead of $2.99. This was the case for my TV account, but on my dvd account it was $2.99 for shipping. I'm pretty sure this will count as a fulfillment, because it did with my last account.
