Items show up as "Free with funcash" when they are out of stock. I don't think they ever fulfill any of those orders.

^Reports are that occasionally they do... *if* the title comes back into stock they'll usually still ship unless you get a cancellation letter. But, admittedly, this is very rare as typically this occurs when a title is slated to be removed from the catalog once it sells out. You can generally count on not getting a title when/if it completely disappears when searching and/or clicking on links gets you the "sorry, we can't find that" page. I still try, depending on the title, just in case.

How do you know a site wide free shipping could be coming? Is it during a certain time of year or because there's no free shipping codes out there?

Yeah, shipping and tax kills it.

That and the $39.99 list price on a lot of titles (which is discounted down to the not so cheap $29.99 sale price). I had BLUs of Gump, River Runs, Silverado, and Star Trek in my cart......and after shipping and sales tax, the total was a little over $77 or over $19 per movie for mostly catalogs.

Anyone having any luck using the free shipping (with the get a free DVD for going paperless) code more than once on any account? Let's say I used it a couple of months ago and then I use it again now. ... do they allow the code to be used twice on a single account?

I've never seen a code like that offered before, and so far, every time I've tried to use it over the last week, it has come up invalid so far. Havn't tried it yet today.

I've seen that offer in email before ... but never did it. Took the bite today with one of my accounts and it worked with flying colors (though no free DVD, I'm guessing they mail a voucher or something?) There was a note about $6 fun cash on some of the movie descriptions, but that didn't show up in the cart -- leftover verbiage from another offer I suppose. Guess I'll just wait and see. Saw that Wizard of Oz Special dropped to the post-preorder price. Nice.
