I asked him about it and he was not concerned, he said if they do not have a CC on file they have nothing to charge. He also mentioned he has closed some of the accounts which he started on and now is applying for new accounts so they cant charge a closed account.

BestBuy.com didn't charge me for some cds i ordered once. They sent me a bill about six months later. I never paid it and never heard from them again. That was about 5 or 6 years ago.

"You must purchase a title to keep the 2 free. Your pay title was canceled, so you must pay for a different title. Either buy another $19.99 and up title or send us back your two free titles."
Seems fair.

Really though, this is Columbia House we're talking about. As many errors as they make we know they're not that on top of things over there. I mean, they haven't even bothered to remove the items from the site yet.

There are at least two gigantic threads in the archives about this incident, but I can't be arsed to look for them.

OH man I would be super interested in reading this thread. I love hilarity.
Edit!******
I found the thread: http://forum.dvdtalk.com/showthread.php?t=487954
It looks like initially to go the customer's favor. Even the CS guys were saying that since the reciepts said the dvd's were for free... they wouldn't be charged.
Although it'd pretty funny how in the end the last poster had a solution of going to Amazon.com's parking lot and smash all their car windows.

In the end Amazon only harrassed those who:
1. Had made casual orders on B1G1.
2. Did not get a representative to email them with something that absolved them of this.
The only lesson I could learn was to Exploit BIG or go home.

Has this ever happened to anyone...I applied and got accepted online so as soon as I got my membership number via e-mail, I logged in and placed my two fulfillment orders. I then received my enrollment shipment notification on 11/6, one of my fulfillment shipment notifications on 11/8, and my 2nd fulfillment shipment shipping notification on 11/9. So far, I have only received my 1st fulfillment order(11/8 e-mail) that arrived today 11/14. Does this mean my enrollment shipment got lost in the mail or something?

^It is possible that your enrollment package was lost or stolen. But Media Mail can be variable as to how long it takes to arrive.
If you call Columbia House they will usually tell you to wait four weeks before they will accept that the package is lost and they will send a new one.

Thanks for the heads up. I just now cancelled the account that I used for this glitch, just to be on the safe side. All the orders I made are closed, but I wouldn't want CH to look at my account and decide to bill me for those movies months later.
