my understanding (from a link i read somewhere in the forum) is that both version are identical, except for the trailers (so no fears).
also, i've been involved with columbia house for years and really supplemented my library with them...they don't carry fox dvds with the 20th century fox logo at the top of the case spine/binder ie films CURRENTLY distributed by fox.
it goes without saying that co house would only carry the cast cover version (mgm), which does not have the fox logo on the spine as the fishbowl cover does.

Well, I had re-ordered this about 10 days ago after not getting it in my enrollments a few weeks ago. Apparently the order cancelled again due to inavailability. I called again today and the CSR didn't have any problem re-ordering it again, and couldn't see why it wouldn't go through. Then again, this is a CH CSR we're talking about, who is probably just as clueless to the inner workings of CH as the rest of us are.

Got mine today. It's the "Cast" cover with slipcase matching the cover. However this took some doing...

I ordered Wanda as part of a BOGO on 1/29/07. Got the box set the next week without Wanda or an explanation and Wanda had mysteriously disappeared from the invoice online and on paper. Sent CS an email asking about the missing Wanda. The CS re-entered the order. 2 days after that (5 days after receiving the shipment) I got the "stock has been exhausted" letter. The replacement order placed by the CS never showed up on the website, but somehow I got $2 in FunCash added to my acount!?! Then... Feb. 27th I got the 2nd "stock has been exhausted" letter (this was dated 2/12!). I immediately fired off another email to CS explaining that I would still like to get Wanda if available, under original offer, shipping, etc. Another order was entered by the CS. This time it showed up on the website, but they did not charge me shipping! That was 2/28/07. It shipped on 3/3/07 and arrived on 3/5/07 with Free Shipping!

So... Bonus Funcash and Free Shipping... Worked out OK!

this is the exact same thing that happened to me, disappearing from my order, stock has been exhausted letter, extra funcash and all!!! except at the "then..." point i ordered mine on sale with coupon thru b&n and gave up on co house. i got the fox/fishbowl cover thru b&n.

on that note, i'd order this title thru co house now if you want it. my assumption is the mgm 2 disc version/cast cover will soon be OOP, it seems to be thru most online vendors with the fox version replacing it. just a hunch.

My initial re-order from a couple weeks ago never showed up in my order history either. But now my re-order from a few days ago is there. So it looks like it may be on the way at last.

I just got my "out of stock" notice for my from my first re-order attemp (dated Feb 20!). The second re-order still shows "pending" in my order history though, so we shall see.

pending is as good as gold (unless the postal system screws up).

I got another out of stock/discontinued notice today in the snail mail (also dated Feb 20th), and a shipping confirmation in email. So my hunch is you are correct, and I'll see it soon.

Mine wasn't quite a nightmare, but I finally got this today too, in a new enrollment package. Sealed cast slipcover and all. YAY!
