For some reason, my app from last Tuesday (10 days ago) never hit my credit card. I've been cycling some BMG music accounts at the same time. Hopefully BMG open accounts aren't screwing up my CH-DVD cycling. I just submitted another phone app this Tuesday. Hopefully that one will open before free shipping ends.
The opposite happened to me. My app was apparently turned down, but I did get charged for the enrollment order! They insist it was only an authorization, but it's right there on my credit card statement! I'm going to have to dispute the charge, which most likely will piss CH off, and they'll put something in my file, and I'll never get another account opened again!

^I suggest that you not do anything for a few days.

If it is a real charge AND you were really turned down, then the charge will be refunded; there should be no need to dispute the charge.

If it is a temp charge it will go away after a week or so. I presume that you are not talking about a temp charge.

If it is a real charge and you were approved (don't assume that the CSRs got it right about being turned down), then you will likely get the enrollment package in due course.

I appreciate the advice, but the charge occurred on October 21st, and I still haven't received any credit. I'm going to have to dispute the charge, since CH insists that they didn't charge me.

^In the past when I have had charge problem a Columbia House supervisor was able to pull up my credit card account and verify the charge. I am surprised that they say they didn't charge you and they haven't offered to do that.

The problem with disputing a charge is that CH might blacklist you. Best to get it worked out with them, if at all possible.

I think since some time around the beginning of the year. It's not that big a deadl in the scheme of things. I can call in and cancel in about 5 minutes, tops. Or you can email them in less time, but I prefer the immediate positive confirmation that my account is cancelled so I can move on with my life.

I got an offer for M3G in the mail today. It's the "6 for $.49 and 7th for $14.95 w/ 2 more to buy" variety. Nothing special, there are plenty of codes just like it, but figured I'd post it anyway.

I have found the only way to reach any REAL supervisors is to call the Columbia House main offices and ask for the management team. I had a few mixups on a long standing account that they couldnt clear up for 3 months. I made one call to 812-466-8111 and asked for the management team, left a message and 1 business day later not only did I get my credit but I got a couple of free movie coupons for my trouble.

I am having trouble getting the site to recognize saving codes--all of them turn up with the regular offer. Anyone else having this problem?

None of the saving codes are coming up for me either.

Also, I only have 1 fufilled TV account open but I tried to open a regular account a month ago and have not heard anything since.

Aren't we allowed to have 1 of each open with no problem?

I think this has something to do with your cookies. I had the same problem w/ IE last week and when I used my AOL browser instead, the codes worked. I just tried LMT in Internet Explorer and it came up right.

I tried phoning in an order today, and all the codes I tried (including the c7H one I was just emailed) kept coming up invalid...

Anyone have any luck this week with any of the phone-in codes?

I had this problem before and I cleared my cookies and it was OK. You could try just closing the browser and re-starting, but if that doesn't work, clear the cookies.

^Another way to fix cookies for Columbia House, for those of us who have accounts already, is to log in to an account then immediately log out. This resets the CH cookie.

I would guess that a lot of us don't log out when leaving the CH site, either because we go to another window or we get timed out by CH. This seems to leave a CH cookie in place. So, always try to log out when visiting an account.

ITALIAN926, yes, i tried it with "D", that didn't work either...

Still wondering if any of the phone-in codes are working for anyone this week?

What code can you use (with a good deal) and be able to pay online with a credit card? All of the accounts that I've tried to open by signing up and not actually paying right then and there seem to never go through. Does CH not allow you to use a credit card anymore when signing up online?

I tried all of them and none of them give a pay now option. I even tried the codes starting with 3 as stated. Plus, your opening post was posted well over a year ago and changes should be expected.

1KJ gave me the option of paying online, although it wasn't required. I used that about a week ago.

ITALIAN926 has been so kind as to keep editing it with new information since that time (last edit time is at the bottom of the post).

dsa_shea, all the information in the opening post is most often edited and up to date. 1KJ,1KX,1KK,1KG are the best codes to use with a credit card option at checkout.
If you read throughout the thread, you can see how the offer codes changed and evolved.
Always read the last page.. and the opening post for the newest codes.
