I think since some time around the beginning of the year. It's not that big a deadl in the scheme of things. I can call in and cancel in about 5 minutes, tops. Or you can email them in less time, but I prefer the immediate positive confirmation that my account is cancelled so I can move on with my life. :)

I got an offer for M3G in the mail today. It's the "6 for $.49 and 7th for $14.95 w/ 2 more to buy" variety. Nothing special, there are plenty of codes just like it, but figured I'd post it anyway.

ITALIAN926 11-16-05 04:10 PM

Today i got 1LM inthe mail... same 6 Free SH and 1 bonus for $9.95 .. 2 commitment. Needs PSN, added to list.

QJ4 has the same terms.

piraeus72 11-29-05 12:12 AM

I have found the only way to reach any REAL supervisors is to call the Columbia House main offices and ask for the management team. I had a few mixups on a long standing account that they couldnt clear up for 3 months. I made one call to 812-466-8111 and asked for the management team, left a message and 1 business day later not only did I get my credit but I got a couple of free movie coupons for my trouble.

jhester 11-29-05 10:18 AM

I am having trouble getting the site to recognize saving codes--all of them turn up with the regular offer. Anyone else having this problem?

Liquid Death 11-29-05 10:19 AM

I signed up with LMT yesterday the the offer came up as it should.

foxysag 11-29-05 01:57 PM

None of the saving codes are coming up for me either.

Also, I only have 1 fufilled TV account open but I tried to open a regular account a month ago and have not heard anything since.

Aren't we allowed to have 1 of each open with no problem? -confused-

ITALIAN926 11-29-05 02:02 PM

I think this has something to do with your cookies. I had the same problem w/ IE last week and when I used my AOL browser instead, the codes worked. I just tried LMT in Internet Explorer and it came up right.

drh4 11-29-05 05:23 PM

I tried phoning in an order today, and all the codes I tried (including the c7H one I was just emailed) kept coming up invalid...

Anyone have any luck this week with any of the phone-in codes?

ITALIAN926 11-29-05 05:27 PM

u mean.. C7HD.. right

I had this problem before and I cleared my cookies and it was OK. You could try just closing the browser and re-starting, but if that doesn't work, clear the cookies.

lizard 11-30-05 08:08 AM

^Another way to fix cookies for Columbia House, for those of us who have accounts already, is to log in to an account then immediately log out. This resets the CH cookie.

I would guess that a lot of us don't log out when leaving the CH site, either because we go to another window or we get timed out by CH. This seems to leave a CH cookie in place. So, always try to log out when visiting an account.

drh4 12-02-05 09:25 PM

ITALIAN926, yes, i tried it with "D", that didn't work either...

Still wondering if any of the phone-in codes are working for anyone this week?

dsa_shea 12-03-05 06:26 PM

What code can you use (with a good deal) and be able to pay online with a credit card? All of the accounts that I've tried to open by signing up and not actually paying right then and there seem to never go through. Does CH not allow you to use a credit card anymore when signing up online?

1KJ gave me the option of paying online, although it wasn't required. I used that about a week ago.

ITALIAN926 has been so kind as to keep editing it with new information since that time (last edit time is at the bottom of the post).

ITALIAN926 12-04-05 01:49 PM

dsa_shea, all the information in the opening post is most often edited and up to date. 1KJ,1KX,1KK,1KG are the best codes to use with a credit card option at checkout.
If you read throughout the thread, you can see how the offer codes changed and evolved.
Always read the last page.. and the opening post for the newest codes.

John Galt 12-13-05 11:49 AM

Just to let everyone know, I just tried to use QJ4 over the phone and it came up with 5@ .49 each, 1 at 14.95 and 3 more to buy. It also seems to have that ame offer online, so it might be best to use a different code.

illennium 12-16-05 08:52 PM

Finally (!) got an enrollment through using C7L (6 for $0.49, free shipping, yadda yadda). Hadn't managed to get approved in 6 months but this finally did it.

ITALIAN926 12-16-05 08:55 PM

Did U Use A Credit Card At Checkout with C7L?

atari2600 12-17-05 02:35 AM

whats the current best code/deal to fulfill existing open accounts with?

You can use a credit card with 1KKD. That's what I used and you have the best chance to get approved paying upfront for your enrollment. And I just tried C7L and you can use a credit card with this code as well. I hope this helps. I've sent like 4 applications thorugh in the last few days. I'm hoping to see some of them approved. It's not like they cant see my membership history and see that I've been a good customer.

icecube 12-17-05 06:18 PM

Hi guys, what's the per DVD cost difference between the best codes with and without a PSN?

icecube 12-17-05 07:53 PM

Thanks...I saw the FAQ but it didn't have the per cost avg for all the following codes:

"1KJ,1KX,1KK,1KG are the best online codes ... NO PSN required"
"Best codes w/ PSN 1LM, LMT, LMY, 38Y, IKJ "

All those codes are the same average per DVD. I list as many as we come by so that Columbia House doesnt get 10,000 applications for the same code.

For the lowest possible average, you buy the 6 @ 49 cents each.. + get the first bonus ONLY for $9.95 ... then 2 fullfillment selections at regular price.

icecube 12-17-05 09:25 PM

That makes sense. I was just curious if there was a significant difference between the PSN and non-PNS required codes...

ITALIAN926 12-17-05 09:27 PM

Nope, thats it.. just the PSN requirement and credit card at checkout.

bquinn 12-18-05 05:16 PM

I just used C7L and it did not ask for a PSN, although i can provide one.

zak52 12-27-05 07:32 PM

C7M seems to be a code that can be used online without a PSN.

ettevroc28 12-30-05 12:29 PM

Help with the fulfillments please !!!

Hey there,

I'm on the CH website trying to buy my 2 at $19.95 or better, but they have this "buy one at regular price, get one half off" and I DON'T WANT THAT. I just want to buy two and make them COUNT. I add one to my cart, and all is well. It shows as counting towards fulfillment. But I've added as many as THREE at $19.95 and the shopping cart keeps slashing half off and then they DON'T count towards fulfillment! What am I missing here?
Thanks!

DVDMagic 12-30-05 01:03 PM

If it's just the 2 that you want and don't care about any others then the best thing to do would be to just make 2 seperate orders - one right after the other. Either that or some sets count as 2 commitments, but can't think of any off of the top of my head.

AlfB 12-30-05 01:33 PM

You should see this below on the right of your cart:

You have 2 DVDs to buy at regular price before 200X-XX-XX .
Want to buy more DVDs from this order at regular price? Choose how many.

Select Choose how many and enter the number you want to change above. Use the pulldown to select how many sale prices you want to change to reg prices and select recalculate.

ettevroc28 12-30-05 02:16 PM

Awesome! Thanks! Worked like a charm. I got Apollo 13 and Silence of the Lambs for regular price to fullfill, and added Road House for $7 something to get free shipping on all 3.

EL_Cangri 12-30-05 06:05 PM

NOOOOOOOOO! I thought it was the buy 2, get 2 free deal here when i came into the topic. :(

tinkerthinker 01-07-06 04:17 PM

New Code?

Got this one in the mail today: BZW. I'm not sure if it requires a PSN.

6 DVD's @ 49 cents w/ free shipping
Get 7th DVD (counts toward fulfillment) for $9.95 w/ free shipping
Get 8th DVD (does not count toward fulfillment) for $9.95 w/ free shipping.

Buy 3 more in the next 2 years, or 2 more if you opt for the 7th DVD.
