Has anyone watched "Ironclad"? I've seen multiple copies of the blu-ray for $3 and it stars Paul Giamatti as King John but my spider-sense is telling me it's not even worth $3.

Re: Big Lots Part 10 - List your FINDS here (NO trades)

My local store got the aforementioned Dragon Dynasty titles. I like the older Shaw Bros. movies, especially the Celestial Pictures restorations. I kind of went overboard, though and bought one of everything they had Saturday @ $3 each.

#12 King Boxer (Shaw Bros, has Elvis Mitchell and Tarantino commentary)
#28 Heroes of the East (Shaw Bros -Celestial)
#31 Fist of Legend (Jet Li)
#32 Rebel (2-disc ultimate edition with slipcase)
#43 Eight Diagram Pole Fighter (Shaw Bros -Celestial)
#48 Executioners From Shaolin (Shaw Bros -Celestial)

Also got the "Wizard of Gore" 2008 remake with Crispin Glover

I might have to try another Big Lots and see if they have any different Dragon Dynasty titles.

Some copies of Ironclad also include a VUDU digital copy that still works. I saw Destination Truth: Season 1 for $5 today.

I enjoyed it. Certainly worth $3 in my opinion. Amazon reviews are generally favorable... over 4 star average.

Thanks, I may need to pick one up then. There's still a couple left at the store closest to me.

Nothing new this week at all at that store (Pearl).

The Danvers, MA store finally got the $6.88 blu-rays and a few of the Ron Howard collection. I picked up a lone copy of Ironclad for $3. It's funny, I almost wasn't going to go there today since it's been so long since I've seen anything new that I wanted to pick up.

I was pleased to find the bunraku blu ray. That seems like a good movie based on the reviews.

Re: Big Lots Part 10 - List your FINDS here (NO trades)

I picked up a Blu-Ray copy of the Ridley Scott/Crowe/Blanchett version of Robin Hood for $6.88 in Chardon, OH. The package felt surprisingly robust. Inside was a Blu-Ray, standard def DVD, and a digital copy...but no code (that I could find). Weird.

I have bought Uni DVDs before that just had codes for digital downloads, while some had discs/codes. What a pain.

Tacoma Wa: Appears to be a weak new batch, that's been really picked over at Bridgeport & somewhat picked over at Pearl. Mainly a combo of films:
1. I've never heard of
2. 4 movie packs on Mill creek for $3 (Bridgeport is just about out of these; Pearl has quite a few)
3. Martial arts (Jackie Chan & friends) on both Genius & a label I've never heard of with nice looking packaging that I think was called "West S".

Martyrs $3
Jason goes to hell $3
Jason X $3
Grumpy old men/Grumpier old men $5

I was very surprised with these new additions after not seeing anything new for months at my local Big Lots

If you're an Abba fan (I'm NOT), this week's new title was a deluxe Mama Mia (2 DVD, 1 cd & book) @ $6.88 + a few TV series. Pearl, Tacoma, Wa

Re: Big Lots Part 10 - List your FINDS here (NO trades)

This one store that had a really small display that was on the crappy side.
But they did have a bunch of five dollar blu rays.
They had Harsh Times, Zach and Miri (not sure what version), The Eagle (exclusive Best buy version), Repo Men, Crossing Over, and Legend of the Black Scorpion.
I haven't seen these at any other store. The receipt said they were a may batch.

I might have grabbed Repo Man for $5 if it isn't Echo Bridge.

Re: Big Lots Part 10 - List your FINDS here (NO trades)

It is Universal Pictures. It's the new movie with Jude Law. I guess it's "Repo Men"
Corrected in my original post. That would be pretty cool if it was Repo Man. I would love to get the new Criterion disk at BL.

Re: Big Lots Part 10 - List your FINDS here (NO trades)

Found those $5 blurays at the BL on 17/92 and 434 in Longwood FL. Zack and Miri probably came from Walmart as the cover art was missing the "Make A Porno" portion of the movie's title. Still hunting for some of those Dragon Dynasty titles. The 8 Diagram Pole Fighter and Golden Swallow are not to be found. Yet.

Saw these at the NoHo store on Vineland Avenue today, along with 1408 on blu-ray. Repo Men was the Best Buy exclusive version that was a flipper disc (Blu-ray + DVD on one disc!)

Also saw on DVD for $5:
Adjustment Bureau (with slipcover)
Yankee Doodle Dandy (2 disc)

Probably still beats buying them on amazon, unless you bought enough to get free shipping....
Hope something like the $6.88 Universal stuff, or the $10 shows, show up here (here being southside of the ATL) this is the worst I can ever recall inventory being.
When the new "super" Big lots opened in Fayetteville, they had sooo many DVDs, it was a blast to dig in the several places they had them...Had to plan on spending a hour or so looking through everything. inventory started to get stale, but at least they had inventory.
Then, they got rid of the big, 4 sided Dump. Then, they got rid of the 4 sided fixture that that store had used to have DVDs on(and VHS before that) since I started going to their store in the mid 90's. Now just two tightly packed waterfall dumps, with the same ol' same ol crap. Sales will no doubt drop more, indicating to the higher ups that they need to cut back inventory even more...sigh....
