MWC DROPPED $3 at BB???!

Funny, I've been buying quite a bit at Amazon lately, but haven't seen a single Amazon BF special I had any interest in at all.

Married With Children at that price is so tempting but the new packaging is holding me back a little

Re: Black Friday 2011 - The DVD thread

Sorry if this is an ignorant question but I never shop at Walmart or really pay attention to their sales.

On Walmart.com there are a ton of TV on DVD seasons for $10. The vast majority were sold out online. I went to a nearby 24 hour Walmart Saturday night to see if any of those were in stock in store (assuming the "As Advertised" tag on the website was part of a 2 day sale), and some were in stock but they rang up full price.

Were these prices online only? Or did I miss the 2 day sale pricing even though I got there before midnight? Was anyone here able to take advantage of these prices online with ship to store?

I normally at least glance at the front page of Slickdeals once or twice a day, but I didn't see a thread or anything on the front page. Maybe I just missed it?

Well, if it was 1 day in store, it was multiple days online because the prices are still good if you can find something in stock.

The Unit Complete series 72% Off for $55.99

OK price on The Unit. I think FoxConnect had seasons at $8 (though I don't remember if they had all of them).

Same here and did somebody forget to tell the various online sites at Monday was Cyber Monday?? BF and CM were both duds online this year IMO compared to 2010.

2010 was a lot more impressive, especially at Amazon. Bestbuy seemed better, but it was primarily because of the Ben Hur price mistake.

Best Buy was the best, not just because of Ben Hur (which was not a mistake), but they also had the best deals overall --- 3.99 BDs, TV seasons, HP and Deathly Hollows BD 4.99 -- all with free shipping.

The coupon mishap made Fox connect a strong second. It would have been second anyway, but that deal really knocked it out of the park. picked up Allly McBeal, Mary Tyler Moore, Futurama, American Dad for around 6 bucks. Misc 24 seaons and Bones seasons on BD for around 10 bucks with the coupon. Actually they should be #1, but I can't give it to them when the deal of the year was at BB.

Amazon was much better last year. This year they PM'd OK, but there were no exceptional deals like the Watchman Owl ship from last year. The closest was the Beauty and Beast Criterion and for me, Wild Wild West complete series. (My only regret was not pulling the trigger on Batman Beyond complete series, but I already own the series -- damn I love that box though)

Barnes and Noble and Buy.com each had their resp. good deals. Deep Discount actually had some pretty good stuff that was not cheap anywhere else. Big Lots was a disappointment after last year, but still picked up some good TV sets (though most of the Charmed and H-5-0 sets eluded me)

Target was a virtual no-show. A few good deals (Shawshank and Dr. Horrible), but was expecting more, esp. after kast year's 8.00 TV set extravaganza.

And then there was Walmart. Some good 5.00 BDs and 10.00 sets, but I doubt most of their deals were even posted.

Re: Black Friday 2011 - The DVD thread

I saw a week ago that Alibris had Heartland 4 on sale for $36.95. I ordered it and it came today. I think its a good buy because I saw it on ebay for like $50.
