Re: DD 25% Off Sale 6/2-6/19

My order showed up today, one week to the day after placing it. Arrived the same day as an Amazon order placed at the same time. It was shipped via FEDEX Ground, even though I went for free shipping option, which I believe they do with larger shipments. A single item with a day earlier shipping notice has not yet arrived.

Anyway, I am extremely satisfied with the results of this order/sale despite the negative pub DD has received (and deservedly so) over the past few sales.

Doctor Who has been added to the sale. No all the discs, but a lot of them and the prices for the most part are pretty good.

As far as their DVD releases go, yes.

It's rated pretty highly on the Rifftrax board: http://forum.rifftrax.com/index.php/...ewResults.html

My first and probably only order:

Street Trash (Two-Disc Meltdown Edition) - $16.58

Not a great price, but it beats Amazon by almost $7.

Ditto this, my experience with this sale was exactly the same. FedEx package arrived today.

Thanks for reminding me about this. I bought it a while ago from Amazon and still haven't watched it.

Fuck, just had a dvd shoot up $4 while it was sitting in my cart. Any history of items actually going back down, before the end of the sale?

Re: DD 25% Off Sale 6/2-6/19

Got my order today and I have to say I was impressed. Not only did I get all titles ordered within a reasonable period of time, but they were neatly packaged in a box, had no floaters and all discs were scratch free. I'm glad I gave them another shot!

Re: DD 25% Off Sale 6/2-6/19

Probably my only order from DD this year:

Friday the 13th (2009) - $7.49
Friday the 13th: Uncut Deluxe Edition - $9.14

I would've added the first seasons of Castle and Grey's Anatomy if Disney allowed DD to include them in their sale. :-(

Thanks for the heads up. Grabbed all of the above plus The Horns of Nimon ($9.43), The Space Museum/The Chase ($21.21), Dreamland ($9.30), and two series I've had on my wishlist for a while: The Complete Survivors ($29.79) and The Complete Spaced ($24.23).

Re: DD 25% Off Sale 6/2-6/19

Coulda done a bit better. Jumped the gun at DD; forgot to check DVD Planet, too. Still, for Doctor Who discs, anything under $15 (for anything over 2 episodes) is a good price.

Deep Discount:
DEADLY ASSASSIN
DELTA & THE BANNERMEN
SILVER NEMESIS
KING'S DEMONS
MASQUE OF MANDAGORA
VENGEANCE ON VAROS
THE CURSE OF FENRIC
CLAWS OF AXOS
BLACK ORCHID

DVD Planet:
DREAMLAND
REVENGE OF THE CYBERMEN
MARK OF THE RANI
THE INVISIBLE ENEMY/K9 AND COMPANY: A GIRL'S BEST FRIEND
THE TIME MONSTER

Wow. You may be the first person to buy this Santa and the Ice Cream Bunny DVD for the actual movie as opposed to to the Rifftrax commentary!

Got my order today in less than a week. Last month I ordered Rituals on a Sunday and got it 3 days later. DD definitely seems to be improving.

He's at least the second. I bought April 2009

I ordered the complete TV series of Friday the 13th and Tales from the Darkside for just under $140. A good deal cheaper than Amazon.

They seem to have been doing better since at least a year ago.

Weird, Batman the Brave and the Bold Season One Part One is eligible for the sale, but Season One Part Two isn't. Another wonderful *YAWN* sale from DD.

The Prophecy triple feature (I/II/III) pack is $8.41; which is comparable to used (before shipping charges) on Amazon Marketplace and is cheaper than the $13 Wal-mart charges. If only there was a similar deal on the Children of the Corn triple feature (II/III/IV).

You can get Children of the Corn II/III for $5 at Wal-Mart and the 4th one pretty cheap from amazon marketplace.

Is there a trick I don't know about using DVDplanet? When I search for Dreamland, for example, it shows me the 9.30 price, but when I put it in my cart it suddenly becomes 19.60. This was true for all the Doctor Who discs mentioned here.

Re: DD 25% Off Sale 6/2-6/19

That started today for me as far as the Doctor Who discs are concerned. Last night I ordered several, and they all showed at the correct prices in my cart and all the way through checkout. Went back to get a few more today, almost nothing adds correctly.

Re: DD 25% Off Sale 6/2-6/19

Does anyone know of a way to contact DeepDiscount's customer service (assuming they have such a thing)? A phone number perhaps? I received a DVD that came basically crushed due to the horrible mailer it was shipped in and have tried contacting them about a replacement or refund three times in the last week and have gotten no response. I tried the "Contact Us" option on the website as well as the cs@deepdiscount email, but no luck with either.
