DD 25% Off Sale 6/2-6/19

I ordered a DVD from DD off Amazon Marketplace and it came with a paper advertising their summer sale starting June 2nd. Looks like the same as last time, just selected items with the sale graphic.

I scanned the ad into my hard drive but I have no clue how to embed the silly thing into this post to show it to you. Tech challenged (or stupid). If anyone knows, holler.

Thanks for the heads-up. I now await the inevitable "DD sucks and I'll never order from them again" posts to rain down.

Re: DD 25% Off Sale 6/2-6/19

Vowed never to use them again after last year- and to that end I started to use DVD Empire recently and they have been a GREAT alternative to Amazon on a few things.

But DD just sent me a "wishlist coupon" good for $10 off anything- with no minimum a few days ago. I think they sent these out to everyone a while back, but I was deleting their spam without reading them, so I must have missed it the first time. It expires in a couple days so I figured "why not".
Ordered a Sony MoD disc for $8.65 and it went out the next day.

I'll check the sale out- but with the Borders coupons and B&Ns B2G1 sale in another week, I think I'm pretty well caught up. The old days of waiting for the DD twice annual sales are just a memory now.

Re: DD 25% Off Sale 6/2-6/19

I made my first ever purchase from these guys during the spring BOGO sale
to pick up a bunch of Synapse titles. I was not impressed with any aspect
of Deep Discount except for the prices I got.

But they accidentally sent me three "thank you for shopping us for the first
time" coupons all at once ($5.00 off a purchase of $25.00 or more). Each has
a one time use code..........so if I can use these in conjuction with the 25% off
I might try them again for an order or two or three......

25% off Deep Discount's prices isn't much of a sale, most of their prices are higher than most other retailers. -kd5-

I knew the sale was coming soon. Most of the box sets I had in my wish list increased from $3 - $10 each.

Those were the days. The anticipation. Making out a list. Waiting for the first report that the sale was officially on. Reading what people ordered. Sharing codes. Spending hundreds of dollars and feeling you scored the mother load. Memories. May be beaut...ah, just too painful.

Shipping and product availability. Were top notch during the last bogo sale. Prices could not be beat. I wouldn't write off Deep Discount just yet.

Agreed, but I'll still check it out once it starts. Perhaps the first night of the sale there may be some bargains, before they raise prices even more...

I used to plan for this sale months in advance. Now, I never even thought of the sale until I saw this thread. I'll take a look but I don't anticipate ordering... I am so over DD.

Those were the days, my friend...I thought they'd never end.

Oh,well...at least I'm not tempted to do blind buys because the price is so good as used to happen. There may be a few things I'll pick up...maybe a few from the orders that disappeared during the Synapse sale (the missing orders were only discovered after the sale ended) or a few other things, but not too much. Adding to the disappointment with DD from recent years were the opened sets that they sent. When I called to ask when they started sending unsealed copies (in cases of multiple copies of same title, one was sealed & the other wasn't), they said that they couldn't understand how it could have happened since they only sell new copies. I didn't mention the unmarked, homemade VHS copy of a church service that got included with an order a couple of years back.

Re: DD 25% Off Sale 6/2-6/19

I just got an email about their memorial day sale promising huge savings. The prices are an insult to shoppers. $57 dollars for True Blood? $25 dollars for I am Number Four dvd? Oh yea, new Lady Gaga sale mega sale - $13.99! Wowsers

How in the world are they still in business with this super high prices?

Re: DD 25% Off Sale 6/2-6/19

DeepDiscount has changed for me, it used to be the cheapest place to buy DVDs/CDs now they've extended to selling other crap just like Amazon.

I won't be buying anything from them again. I try to stick with off-line purchases anyway, unless the deal is big enough w/free shipping.

Re: DD 25% Off Sale 6/2-6/19

DD sales is how I got hooked on buying DVD/Blu-rays! But I only order from them now when they offer me a free $10 coupon or have a B1G1 deal to exploit.

Anyone know if the various coupons they send out will be useable
during the upcoming 25% off sale?

Hey, no one mentioned it, so thought I would say I don't think you can imbed an image here(if you can, someone please chime in!)
The best bet would be to upload that scan to a site like imagebam.com or photobucket then put the url link in via that little yellow icon(with the mountains) if I have stated the obvious, sorry!
