Re: Dollar Tree DVDs
The local DT just hung a sign saying that assorted DVDs were the featured item of the week... Guess we will see on Friday!

Stopped by my local store this morning. No sign posted, but I could see a fully stocked display just inside the door. My heart skipped a beat when I thought I might be the first to go through them. They were the exercise DVDs mentioned before. |
Re: Dollar Tree DVDs
Ditto. I stopped today to find just those exercise videos.
|
Re: Dollar Tree DVDs
No go- about the same time it went up yesterday they took it down today... guess the local DT jumped the gun!

Re: Dollar Tree DVDs
Joy. Workout titles. My store had put those out last month.
Not what I wanted. I'll pass. There is a title on Ebay I'm curious about - money will go there. |
Re: Dollar Tree DVDs
Local store had exercise videos & item of the week is Betty Crocker Plastic Containers.
|
Re: Dollar Tree DVDs
Just a bunch of exercise videos for the Item Of The Week at my store.

These are decent, non-eco, sturdy cases, although they don't have the traditional DVD split button holder that I prefer.

Re: Dollar Tree DVDs
Why do I never think about picking up some of these as spares? I will have to stop by later in the week.

Re: Dollar Tree DVDs
Item Of The Week starting tomorrow/today. There's a video in the Dollar Tree blu-ray thread in case anyone hasn't seen it.
I saw a couple stores that had put out new titles. I picked up: The Mind of the Married Man: The Complete First Season from HBO which is nifty as a digital-pack in a slip box, but has lot of unremovable art, so wouldn't work well as a spare case. There was also Olympus S1. Which originally aired on Syfy. It's 3 discs though, and looked like it might work well for someone looking for a DVD case that can hold 3 discs. |

Good to know.
I'll check out my local store, thanks for the news. |
Re: Dollar Tree DVDs
I went out today for other items and was pleasantly surprised to find new shipments of DVD"s and Blue Ray's. I purchased the following in two different DTs:
DVD"s The Crash Book of Shadows Blair Witch 2 The Keyman Trust No Man The Mind of the Married man S1 Paper Towns Jesse The Longest Week Ten Thousand Saints Stargate Continuum White Bird in a Blizzard You May Not Kiss the Bride-Kat McPhee Peter Bogdanovich's They All Laughed Filth Horse Camp Dog Whisperer S4: Vol 1 Autumn Blood When Calls the Heart Molly Moon and the Incredible Book of Hypnotism A Long Way Down Walkout BLUE RAYS The Longest Ride October Baby Paranoia Dom Hemingway and You're Not Mirror Mirror Chasing Mavericks The November Man Before I Go To Sleep Blue Jasmine The Counselor Runner Runner Who's Playing Who? |
Re: Dollar Tree DVDs
Blue Jasmine would be nice.

Re: Dollar Tree DVDs
Local DT is 80% picked out. They said they put out the display today..... Nothing left I even wanted to spend $1 on. Sadly, I drove by there earlier & didn't think to stop. Probably the best titles I saw were dvd's of Shanghai Surprise & I Am Legend (Will Smith).

Re: Dollar Tree DVDs
Went to two DTs, picked up...
The Mind Of The Married Man: Season One Olympus: Season One Wet Hot American Summer (used) RPG Viking Legacy A Stranger In Paradise Dom Hemingway The Longest Week Legends Of OZ: Dorthy's Return The November Man Thanks guys, I needed this. With all the stuff bought on Black Friday and later at Christmas - I had a lot of eco cases which needed replacing. Took home so many "RPG" for cases and five "Olympus". If you're looking for clear cases, don't bother with "Pocoyo's World" - this is an eco (DVD case with holes for less plastic). The same with MooMooMooMoo, so much of the tables were empty. Was hoping to find "The Lifeguard", did not see it. |
Re: Dollar Tree DVDs
Back from a third store.
Took home, "The A-List", "Safelight" and "The Hollow Point" - plus a bunch of "RPG"s and "Viking Legacy" (which comes in a slipcase). Now have good cases in storage for later use. I'm pleased. |
Re: Dollar Tree DVDs
Glad to hear it JohnIan. I know you appreciate the replacement cases.
I wound up with very little, partially because I already owned more than a few from this shipment, and also my car died after checking a couple stores. Once the car is going again then maybe I'll have luck at an out of the way store or two. Though I had pretty good luck at a couple of last year's sales, so this may just be how things balance out. |
Re: Dollar Tree DVDs
Found Fargo on Blu-ray.
|
Re: Dollar Tree DVDs
Stopped by my local store hoping to score Filth. No luck, but I did pick up:
DVD: The Double (2013) Hector And The Search For Happiness The Way Way Back Win Win Blu-ray: Blue Jasmine Bruce Lee Double Feature: The Way Of The Dragon / Game Of Death Dom Hemingway The Hollow Point Paranoia (+DVD+Digital) |
Re: Dollar Tree DVDs
The Way Way Back Sorry to hear about your car, Strapped4Cash. |
Re: Dollar Tree DVDs
Stopped by local DT this evening. Table by the door was nearly full of DVD's. Additionally, there were about 5 movie boxes stacked on the floor in front of the table. All were opened with a few discs missing from each. I assume the Blu-Ray's had all been picked out because there wasn't one BD to be found. I ended up only getting one DVD: their sole copy of The Art Of Getting By with Freddie Highmore and Emma Roberts.

Re: Dollar Tree DVDs
Picked up a lone copy of Gene Hackman and Anne Archer's 'Narrow Margin'. Great locales, woefully miscast Hackman with the same attitude and acting seen in every movie he has starred in, plotholes through the roof and a twist ending you can see coming from a million miles. In other words, a buck well spent
|
Re: Dollar Tree DVDs
Coincidentally, it's Hackman's 88th birthday today!
|
Re: Dollar Tree DVDs
I've seen early reports that movies are supposed to be the Item of the Week for the upcoming week (the 27th).
