Deep Discount still has some good deals, but you just can't assume the prices are the best anymore. For the sale I opened up two windows side by side with dvdpricesearch in one and DD in the other. If DD had a price very close to the cheapest before the 25% off then I put it in the basket. I got a bunch of great deals in the sale, I just had to work a little harder.

It's not part of the 25% off sale, but I stumbled upon It's Garry Shandling's Show-Complete Series for $71.98 or 2 cents less than $1 per episode. That's the lowest I've seen the price by far, although I may have missed a better price somewhere. It was currently out of stock, but I ordered it anyway. I'm willing to wait a while for that price.

See my previous post. If you call them you can order it (True Blood S2) at the $29 price since that is what the price is when they look up the item number. At least you could before their offices closed tonight.

It doesn't have a 25% off tag, but at $16.71, it still seems to be on sale. It's $19.13 at Planet, and dvd price search dot com lists DD's price as $21.75. At 25% off, that would be $16.31, so the price is basically the same. Forbidden World and Galaxy of Terror are both $20.31.

Avatar is almost tempting at $14.90 but It was there, and now its gone back to not part of the sale. WTF?!

I'm so done with trying to find something to order from them. Either make it 25% off ALL titles, or none at all!

I was so ready to order Rush - R30 on Blu-ray, but the sale does not apply to it.

This sale has really gone to shit. Its a hollow shell of what it used to be.

They're running algorithms on their site, (or just monitoring deal forums closely).

As certain titles generate "buzz", or higher than expected sales, they are conveniently removed from the sale.

Spent 20 minutes not finding WW2 in HD. I browsed the documentaries, and it was at the top of the list. When I click on it, it brings up Daytrippers! If I really cared about it I would call, but I'm just going to Amazon!
