As per a poster on the Classic Horror Film Board, there is a BIG caveat to this- the discount will only apply to certain titles that have a 25% off tag.

Well, maybe we'll get lucky and pretty much everything will have the 25% off tag and the only ones that wont have it are the ones they usually just remove from the site during these sales.

I'm looking over the site, I haven't done that in a long time, trying to add things to my wishlist and I've gotta be honest - I'm not finding many possible deals at what the price will be after the 25% off, at least on stuff I'm interested in. I'm only looking at Blu-rays for the record.

I have found a handful of possible buys though, depending on if the prices increase and if the 25% off even applies to them.

Damn I had 3 DVDs in my shopping cart and I just checked and the prices shot up by a total of $10 extra than yesterday.
So get ready for them to raise prices and then deduct the 25% from there.

The dvd's in my cart you could not buy from Walmart..but as an example I had
No Orchids For Miss Blandish which if I remember was around $8.49 and now it's at $13.11. 2 other items also jumped around $2/$3 each.
I might still buy a couple of them if they are included in the sale.

I got a flyer in snail mail today advertising this. It says "save an additional 25% on over 50,000 items."

Now, whether 50,000 comprises a majority of their inventory, I do not know.

Hopefully, this will be a TRUE sale with DD going back to its roots. If not, more money in my pocket. Win-win either way.

I believe the flyer indicates that the "over 50,000 items" includes CDs and books, not just DVDs.

Looking at my ridiculously long wishlist (will they ever put back the bulk delete?), I won't have any trouble spending a crapload of money. A few things went up that I wish hadn't, but this is still going to be a good sale for me. I hope DVD Planet follows suit so I can finally burn the last of my store credit.
