Would love to pick up Late Show... Even though the book was better I enjoyed it... I also recomment RKO281 to anyone... The whole story behind Citizen Kane is fascinating (I'd also recommend Cats meow)

I have a couple extra moonlighting s3's which I will offer up when I return from vacation next week... Will hit up some BL's this week to try to find some ofmy sought after DVDs like Swimming with Sharks

I stopped by the BL in Spring Tx today and picked up most of what I wanted except the elusive SWS... Also looking for Stand By Me Deluxe edition so if either of the members who wanted to trade for Moonlighting want it and have that movie, I'd trade for it

Picked up Late Shift, Dog Day afternoon 2disc, Brewsters Millions and more

The one near me is not. It closed at 7PM on the 24th and reopens the 26th, at 8AM I think.

Last night I went and picked up:
The Comback The Complete ONLY season = $3
Vincent and Theo = $2
Sneakers: CE = $3
They all Laughed: 25th Anniversary Edition = $3

Also saw a 2-disk SE of Superman Returns but I put it back and went browsing the other DVD's they had and when I went back to look for it a few minutes later someone else had snatched it up.

Went in on Tuesday, Dec. 23 and spotted the same old display. But this time I was on a mission to find a particular DVD I had seen there before: "Mouse On the Moon." I saw on my brother's Invelos list that he had "The Mouse That Roared" and got the urge to throw in the sequel as an extra gift. I flipped through all racks on all three sides and thank goodness I finally found the last copy on the last shelf I searched.

As I waited in the checkout line I spotted an entirely new $3 DVD display on the opposite side of the store! I naturally abandoned my place in line and found there:

America's Sweethearts
Bugsy: Extended Cut
Head Office
Madigan
Mixed Nuts (WS/FS)
Mysterious Island (1961)
Who's the Boss? Season 1

I remember passing over:
Junior
Balto III: Wings of Change
Evening with Kevin Smith 2
Jingle All the Way
Scoop
Did not see Moonlighting S3, They All Laughed, The Late Shift, Sneakers, Tabitha, American Werewolf in London, The Sting, Life Stinks or RKO281.

^Be careful with that "WS/FS" Mixed Nuts, it's likely just a FS disc inside (many of us here have found them already). I returned all mine opened as defective, and have passed over all others I've seen since, it's not worth the hassle.

^Same here pretty much... The one I got is FS only in spite of the WS/FS listing on the package. I kept it because I like the film but it was a disappointment.

How much you pay for Roughnecks Starship Troopers Chronicles? Man I wish I could find that at my BL. My BL never gets anything good.

$3. They had a couple of more. I probably should have picked them up, but I didn't know it was rare at the time.

I really had no idea what it was when I bought it, but no it's not the big box set. It;s just one episode.

I'll be returning this, but you can buy it cheaper from Amazon Mktplace than I could ship it to you, just recouping my cost. Sorry to get your hopes up.

Haha. I would be astonished if that big set was 3 bucks. Well at least you found some other really good deals there. I've always loved Sneakers.

Augh, you're right, it's a one-sided full-screen disc inside - even more irritating is that the menus are in anamorphic widescreen....

But - looking at the composition of the 1.33:1 frame, it appears to be an open-matte image. I think I can just use my "zoom" features to fill my 16:9 screen and just leave it at that for now.
